Well according to Martin Dobbing's report he's a legend in the making.
No pressure then.
A bit presumptious I would say at this stage in his career, but I do like the kid.

At the risk of sounding a smart ass I did say 'could have a legend in the making' as the sky seems the limit, that doesn't mean those heights will definately be reached....

He beat one anyway(Voronin was about 6/7 at Featherweight when Quigg beat him), but I'm fairly sure Lukin(while ranked at Featherweight by the EBU) was not in the top 10. However considering the lack of depth at Super-Bantamweight it's not surprising those two wins have put him close to a European title shot.

Did anyone see Quigg's ringwalk ? Brilliant - they had him coming out of his front door (which is just round the corner from the Leisure Centre) dressed in his boxing gear. He then walked through the streets and into the entrance of the centre and then suddenly appeared in the tunnel heading for the ring. Quality !

I miss Smigga. People say a lot about him, but every time I spoke to him he was well mannered and pleasant!

I don't think he came across well online... He seemed to look down on us a bit. He hated Horse... I loved it when gman told him he'd beaten him twice as a junior. He was shocked but, to be fair, right as rain when he realised gman was telling the truth.

Fair enough, I admit that I was a critic of Quigg a few years back. I'm also honest enough to say I'm not entirely sure that he is a World-Class operator. His title defenses have been nothing short of a mockery.

I would also say that 1 great performance does NOT automatically make you a great fighter, so I wouldn't overrated hid victory over Martinez - a fighter who Frampton had already wrecked twice.

If Quigg wins tomorrow night, then he will have proven himself as a top fighter. If he doesn't then he will continue having his critics.
