Scott Quigg on Saturday
Anyone going to Bury for this one know anything about his opponent ? Andrey Kostin from Russia - never heard of him but I rate Quigg very highly. Heard it was selling well - are there tickets left ?

Re: Scott Quigg on Saturday
ill have a bit of that! 2.99 happy days
Re: Scott Quigg on Saturday
I still havn't seen him box either but he has an impressive win over Voronin who was a decent operator in his day. Have heard of Kostin before, probably from boxing Truscott a while back.
Re: Scott Quigg on Saturday
I matched Quigg for his first handufl of fights and he can realy fight i expect him to be up there in a few years

Kostin has fought featherweights and once ended the glittering career of Peter Culshaw in a real shocker. Quigg will do well to stop him.

Re: Scott Quigg on Saturday
still not a worthy opponent mate, quigg is 17-0 kostin is a poor fighter and not a worthy match up for top of the bill IMO. quigg is fighting for the european title this year...what will this fight learn him?bennie wrote:Kostin has fought featherweights and once ended the glittering career of Peter Culshaw in a real shocker. Re: Scott Quigg on Saturday
We all said the same about Jamie Moore's last opponent. How does Quigg deserve a European shot? Oh wait, he is a Hatton fighter isn't he! He has one decent win in 17 fights and hasn't fought any decent domestic operator yet.HomeOfBritishBoxing wrote:still not a worthy opponent mate, quigg is 17-0 kostin is a poor fighter and not a worthy match up for top of the bill IMO. quigg is fighting for the european title this year...what will this fight learn him?bennie wrote:Kostin has fought featherweights and once ended the glittering career of Peter Culshaw in a real shocker. Re: Scott Quigg on Saturday

who said he deserved a ebu title shot? who said he has faced any decent domestic operators? voronin is the only half decent fighter he has boxed, who are you tring to prove wrong?Deno1986 wrote:We all said the same about Jamie Moore's last opponent. Re: Scott Quigg on Saturday
It wasn't a question directly at you mate, sorry if it looked like that. I'm just sick of fighters getting undeserved shots, especially Hatton fighters and the bloody Italians who seem to be rooted to the top of the rankings whether they win or lose.HomeOfBritishBoxing wrote:who said he deserved a ebu title shot? who said he has faced any decent domestic operators? voronin is the only half decent fighter he has boxed, who are you tring to prove wrong?Deno1986 wrote:We all said the same about Jamie Moore's last opponent. Re: Scott Quigg on Saturday
Quigg is top quality, without doubt one of the top prospects in British boxing. Holds some very impressive stoppages as well in his last couple of fights. Let's hope Brian Hughes and Pat Barrett can take him to the very top.
Re: Scott Quigg on Saturday
Well, I was wrong (again) - one round. Quigg looks ready to make some noise.

Re: Scott Quigg on Saturday
Fantastic effort Scott - watched it on the web in the end but it was a great effort. Can't believe people are knocking him - you can only beat what is put in front of you. Sure he hasn't fought for a title yet but from the interview with the Hatton guy (williams?) it seems the next one will be for the English at least.
Re: Scott Quigg on Saturday
id like to see scott quigg vs josh wale / ricky owen for the english ,either would be a good test
Re: Scott Quigg on Saturday
Is Ricky Owen eligible for the English title?kierny wrote:id like to see scott quigg vs josh wale / ricky owen for the english ,either would be a good test
