Fifiteen pound isn't a lot of money for a nights boxing even if some of the matchups aren't all that great.

I don't (and won't) pay for the regular channel, so £15 isn't a bad price for Khan/Maidana on it's own in this day and age. If you look at it from that point of view, the undercard's extremely strong, even with Wlad sparking Delboy off the table.
To be honest, Cleverly's opponent was duff to begin with so the switch makes little difference to me.

Am I right in thinking we'll be getting Ortiz/Peterson in the deal?
If so that's 2 cracking main events, with Warren providing a nice little undercard to boot.

How is this not PPV worthy?
More questions to people not paying for it now....
Is Chisora PPV then? Because really you're saying that you will not pay because he is off the bill
Have you every paid for Klitchko on PPV? Same as above.
Was the Germain card really that good to go from paying nothing to £15 if it was on?
I don't class myself as an idiot for getting this still on PPV as Khan in Vegas in it's own was always going to be PPV so add that to a card that is still very good there isn't much to compalin about.
Sometimes some boxing fans want far too much, I know that apart from wrestling boxing is pretty much the only thing that gets PPV treatment but lets face it its here to stay and comparing this to many other PPV's in the past it's far better.

Mitchell v Katsidis.
No skin off my nose, I'll be at the Echo arena. I guess this means the Smith fight will be moved forward to 10pm.

If they want to make the Yankee bit PPV, fine.
The British part of it should go to regular subscribers as part of their package. They're already paying through the nose and shouldn't have to fork out extra for what is, other than the main event, not attractive fare.

You are already paying approximately £600 a year for Sky and £145.50 for the licence fee. It adds up.
I agree really but in the scheme of things I.d rather cough up than not have it at all.
Would you rather have Smith/Degale Clev, Macklin headlining and spread out over a month of Saturdays or pay extra to see them on the same card?

To be honest, I'd rather it was spread out - if they were in competitive fights, worthy of headlining a show (not the Kell Brook knockout job we have on Sat). It would be good to have a big fight to look forward to most Saturday nights over a month than crap headliners for a while and then one blockbuster card that costs extra.

But that's before they realised they could make a bomb out of boxing on PPV.
They tried it with football, but it didn't work.

Not buying on principle. The more people who do buy are fuelling the PPV rip off, AND MORE RIP OFFS TO COME!

people are saying show it on normal sky but some people might have already bought it? as if they will do that anyway, credit to them for keeping UK Boxing alive but they feel like they can do whatever they want by charging people £15.

No it's not on free-to-view, but from Sky Sports:
"Bookings already made will still be valid, but customers wishing to cancel their booking and receive refund should call 08442 410 888.
Full refunds will be given on request as per Sky Box Office terms and conditions and this can be done before 3.00pm on Saturday."

Fair enough, I like the big allnighter of boxing like this format...as well as a fight every Saturday!
Maybe I just don't look after my money enough but fifteen quid for a whole Saturday night of boxing instead of three hours seems ok.
You know I can Sky+ Khan and watch with breakfast which the missus and kids will be ecstatic about.

It isn't but it does highlight the problem with charging people £15 for an average bunch of fights (bar Smigga-Degale).
Sky need to act on this, bollox to paying £15 for this now.

Exactly this. Seems like the days of good domestic scraps as part of your monthly subscription like Moore-Macklin are gone forever - Wazza/Sky will just save them up for the 2/3 monthly PPV.
How long before Prizefighter goes PPV?
They have moved the goalposts so much... back in the day you got Sky because you could see fighters like Tyson/Hamed/Lennox as part of the subscription. Then it was just so you could see the good domestic scraps - now we would be happy with even those back on Sky 1/2/3/4 and not PPV. fornicating disgrace.

In recent times we've had some big fights in the US and fights involving big British stars for no extra cost. It just seems like that is forgotten when something is on PPV.
I remember seeing Khan and Pac man with no extra cost and other world title fights like Burns and some good all British fights shown on normal Sky sports but can anyone answer if they think that just because one of the most boring fighters in the world (Wlad Klitschko) is not fighting against a relative unknown British heavyweight (Dereck Chisora) warrants not paying for PPV because from what I read before this fight was cancelled was that it was value for money and one of the best PPV's ever. You can't tell me that it was that card that made it PPV! Nor can anyone try and convince me that Frankie Gavin not being on the card is enough for it not to be PPV.
Before these fights were pulled it was a great PPV now it's still a good one.
