Adam Smith; is there now enough room at SKY for Carl Froch

wtf :!: ???..Froch is an elite fighter.

I can't see Khan's team having a case to sue anybody. Sky were surely exercising a legitimate clause in their contract, and they can't be that stupid to open themselves up to a legal challenge from such an amateurish outfit.stujones wrote:danfoster wrote:Anyway, why is Team Khan the party that is being blamed - do they even hold a promoters licence???? I'm sure it was the role of Hatton Promotions to get the undercard right - and I think Khan has a case to sue someone - whether it is Sky or Hatton.
The undercard thing is surely all about budget - I don't believe for one minute that Hatton & Goldenboy between them couldn't put a decent undercard on. Maybe there just wasn't enough money offered.
Khan Promotions claim to have shifted 15000 tickets. Even at £50 a pop, this generates £750K - you telling me that this wouldn't finance a decent undercard? Khan promotions are being very greedy, very naive and are vastly overvaluing Khan. Nobody really likes him that much since he got KTFO by Breidis Prescott, and he only partly redeemed himself in his last fight.

No room for Britain's best boxer. Says it all about the people in charge for me.

Froch v Johnson - live on Sky. I guarantee it.

Hope so! On ESB they saying Froch has left Hennessy is that just rumours or any truth?gobbles wrote:Froch v Johnson - live on Sky. I guarantee it.

Sad but true a bit of a nightmare scenario for Carl, the Johnson fight will be a good tough fight with both getting some success but Carl should winmickey1975 wrote:The sad reality for Froch could be finally appearing on SBO against Andre Ward in the final.Hyped to the max and then handily beaten(IMO,hope i am wrong).
I hope Abraham sparks Ward to turn things around.
Re: Adam Smith; is there now enough room at SKY for Carl Froch
Froch Johnson has already been agreed for Primetime hasnt it?
Re: Adam Smith; is there now enough room at SKY for Carl Froch
Nah, that would make the final a lot less interesting and leave the whole SMW picture a bit muddy.Final round wrote:Sad but true a bit of a nightmare scenario for Carl, the Johnson fight will be a good tough fight with both getting some success but Carl should winmickey1975 wrote:The sad reality for Froch could be finally appearing on SBO against Andre Ward in the final.Hyped to the max and then handily beaten(IMO,hope i am wrong).

Froch/Ward is the best senario IMO, because Ward has that win over Kessler who beat Froch it sets it up nicely. Beating Ward would make Froch seem a legit winner despite all the pull outs etc. If he can't beat Ward then he doesn't deserve to win the tournament.

Don't think so mate. The gossip is that it will be on regular Sky and that if Froch wins his future fights will be PPV.Camcas wrote:Froch Johnson has already been agreed for Primetime hasnt it?

I agree when you put it like that, the winner meets Bute' if he beats Kessler or if Kessler wins and Froch does would be a nice rematch and it's all sorted but tbh I'm just not a fan of Wards style.J-C wrote:Nah, that would make the final a lot less interesting and leave the whole SMW picture a bit muddy.Final round wrote:Sad but true a bit of a nightmare scenario for Carl, the Johnson fight will be a good tough fight with both getting some success but Carl should winmickey1975 wrote:The sad reality for Froch could be finally appearing on SBO against Andre Ward in the final.Hyped to the max and then handily beaten(IMO,hope i am wrong).

When Johnson got stopped in AD 2 I think its important, for purposes of full disclosure, to remember he contested the decision.King Geedorah wrote:Carl's last 5 fights have lasted into the 12th round; Johnson was last stopped in AD 2; Sky will be able to get plenty of ads in there. Make it so.
