I saw that fight. Nishizawa took him to school. I think Jae-chan totally underestimated him.

N2Shape would probably be interested as he was eyeing up the Korean boxing scene at one point.

There aren't enough heavies in Korea, so he never had a chance to defend. That being said, I've seen fighters introduced as "Korean Champion" when fighting in Japan, even though they had been stripped for not defending, etc. It's up to the promoter how the fight is marketed.

Kim has only had two prelim fights since Nishizawa. Nishizawa has had another three fights at cruiser and light heavyweight and lost them all.

He fought two Korean prelim fighters after Nishizawa. I can just see Whitehead, Browne and Kirby trembling.

We can argue this all day Brute but have you seen him fight?

I am not saying he would beat Whitehead or Kirby however he would give them a fight. And I would put my money on him beating Browne.

Whatever - if there is a promoter who wants to put their money onto a decent import (and you all moan about how crap the imports are coming into Australia these days) who will give entertainment value to the fans then you have found him. Until you have seen him fight Brute then you need to zip it - I wouldn't comment on a fighter I have never seen fight.

Form is a good guide. I get sick of people running down Australian fighters and then bringing over imports who turn out to be fizzers.

And I have given you some background information to the form you see in black and white on an internet site. Kim has come on leaps and bounds over the past few years - reserve judgement till you see him - like any intelligent boxing fan would.

Jae-chan comes to win. What he lacks in smooth boxing skills, he more than makes up for in heart and balls. He had a bad showing against Nishizawa (as have others), and has improved since then.

Not many heavies will take an 8-rounder in their first fight and a 10 rounder in their second. Then another 8-rounder, coming out with three KO wins, against fighters with winning records.

Btw, look for his record to improve to 6(5)-1(1) today ;;-)

I won't be fighting anymore. I'm looking at training, managing, and helping out as a translater for Korean managers. We'll see.

As for Jae-chan's record improving (should be 6-1 by the end of the day), that's because I realized one of his fights hadn't been recorded on boxrec. I submitted the info to the Korean boxrec correspondant, and he said he'd update it.

Dude. Now you're just being picky. I'm not arguing for Jae-chan to be in your P4P list. I'm trying to get the kid some fights.

Good luck to him, but he may find the going a bit tough over here. Most of the local heavyweights are a lot bigger than the blokes he has fought.
