Korean heavyweight Jae-chan Kim
Korean heavyweight Jae-chan Kim
Hi,
I've been asked by a Korean manager to see if there is any interest in having Korean heavyweight Jae-chan Kim fight there.
I've seen him fight four times; pretty exciting fighter! He knocked-out my buddy Justin a few years ago for the Korean heavyweight title.

Has your mate got any Cruisers? Might be able to sort some things out if he does.

PS I was told he is ranked by the OPBF as light-heavy, which is a mistake.

Re: Korean heavyweight Jae-chan Kim
Jae Chan Kim would be a good match up for anyone like Kirby, Whitehead and the like - he is fit and aggressive. Is he still the Korean heavyweight champion Joe? (He beat a Canadian for the title but it seems that Korea has a few decent heavies these days)

Thanks for the OPBF link, D.V. I sent them an e-mail.Da Voice wrote:Contact them & request amendment http://www.opbf.jp/info/contact.htmlJoe Boxer wrote:

The little biography is cool; I'll show Jae-chan tonight.
(btw if I get you a pic of me, could you add it to my boxrec page?)

Hey, C, what's up?Fat Git wrote:Jae Chan Kim would be a good match up for anyone like Kirby, Whitehead and the like - he is fit and aggressive. Is he still the Korean heavyweight champion Joe? (He beat a Canadian for the title but it seems that Korea has a few decent heavies these days)
There aren't enough heavies in Korea, so he never had a chance to defend. That being said, I've seen fighters introduced as "Korean Champion" when fighting in Japan, even though they had been stripped for not defending, etc. It's up to the promoter how the fight is marketed.

Sure can, but I'd prefer if you send it to anton at boxrec dot comJoe Boxer wrote:Thanks for the OPBF link, D.V. I sent them an e-mail.Da Voice wrote:Contact them & request amendment http://www.opbf.jp/info/contact.htmlJoe Boxer wrote:

Re: Korean heavyweight Jae-chan Kim
Does anybody remember an old Japanese cruiser named Yoshinori Nishizawa who came out here a few years ago, fought a draw with Sonni Michael Angelo and lost to some local cruiserweights? He KOed Kim in three rounds in 2008.
Nishizawa was 42 at the time.
