He WAS superior to Derry Matthews. Harrison has been out of the ring for 6 years! half of that in prison where alot of prisons have little or no boxing equipment! And the other half of the time he's been drinking his life away. No chance at making a successfull comeback.Gazmac81 wrote:we have no idea what harrison has left so dont see how you can come to that conclusion
couple fights to see what he has and he could fight reece no problem
Derry mathews was doing ok vs Reece while it lasted and Harrison is superior to him
Activity aside i would say harrison is a better fighter than reece was

I hope he get's it. If has the backing of the Scottish Area Council it can only be a good thing.Cardiff-Lad1 wrote:Possible good news....
Former world champion Scott Harrison should find out by next week whether he will be allowed to box again after paperwork problems stalled his bid to regain his boxing license.
The 34 year-old, who has been out of the ring for six years since defending his WBO featherweight title for the seventh time, is set to learn his fate in the coming days, according to Scottish newspaper The Glaswegian, after a BBBC meeting was set up in Cardiff to discuss his case and father/trainer Peter believes his son deserves a chance.
“Scott is in limbo until we get confirmation he is getting his licence back,” Harrison told the paper.
“He wants to get back into the ring so it’s not right that anyone should stand in his way.
“People at the Scottish Area Council have been great and there has been plenty of backing from other figures in the sport so we are hopeful Scott will soon be fighting again.
“It has been a nightmare time but he is now focused on getting back to doing what he does best"
‘The Real McCoy’ is hoping to start his long road back before Christmas and has he eyes on regaining the world title for the third time after serving time in a Spanish prison.”
If only he thot of his kids when he was drinking his life away and assaulting people in Spain. British boxing should wash its hands of this scumbagGazmac81 wrote:hes quoted in sun today saying hes in shock from the rejection and has 3 kids to support and cant do this without his Boxing
What do you mean by that? The fight went three and a bit rounds and was very close so I don't know how you could say Rees was superior to Mathews. Derry was more than holding his own until the accidental headclash.BoxingAnalyst wrote:He WAS superior to Derry Matthews. You'll be cheering for the boy Davey Hilton if he makes a comeback then?Emmseegee wrote:There's currently people in and aroung the ring that have done similar and far worse things than Scott Harrison.
anyone could do a quick internet search about the guy and come up with a strong case for him being a knob but could also do a quick youtube search and see the skills he had.
If hes lost it then so be it but as a boxing fan id like to see him get a chance.
Once i start caring about what people get up to in their own personal lives i will watch the Kardashians or some other shit like that. Until that time i will judge people on what they do inside the ropes and not out of them.

Or put another way perhaps, Britain has much tougher regulations for licencing fighters. Unless you came here to fight and are called Justin Juuko (that cat couldn't stand straight).Gazmac81 wrote:a Quick Google of that and im upto date with him
that just goes to prove Emmseegee point that people with far worse crimes have been allowed back in the Ring to fight.
Clearly this it totally different from harrions case and far worse.

Warren would work with anyone if there was money in it. Anyone would be better for Harrison than that joker Barry Hughes.jessi wrote:Warren said once that he would never work with Harrison again, and I believe it.
