Herbie Hide, Wayne Llewelyn, Tony Moran are the three best that arent with SN. (Apart from Lewis and Akiwande.)

There's a very slim chance it could be Llewellyn. Very slim. The other two, forget it. Moran's a Scouser!

lol. If what I heard about Norwich not being within the Southern Area boundary(it aint true I have checked) then Liverpool might just be classed as the south.

Danny Watts could also be in the frame. He's on a winning run of three, but has been very inactive. But he stopped Sprotty in an ABA final, and A-force could use that to sell the show.

I would be surprised to see Audley going for the Southern Area title, most 'big' prospects seem to skip area titles, I don't recall Lewis, Bruno, Hide or even Danny Williams going for area titles.

But I suppose if they are saying Harrison is going for a title shot then that is all it could be unless they conjure up one of these WBC/WBA/IBF interntional/contintental type things. Could be what with Harrison's emphasis on 'it's about the world baby'.

Bruno never went for the British title, let alone the Southern Area.

Audley has said he intends to fight for the Southern Area Title hasn't he? I'm pretty sure he has anyway.

Like bennie said, Kenna is a likely candidate but I hope it isn't him.

No disrespect to the guy but he is nowhere near as good as Mathew Ellis, infact I'd go as far as saying he's still a raw novice. I said before the Sprott fight that it was too soon for him and the same would apply here. Kenna would be a backwards step he simply hasn't got the experience to put up a respectable performance against Audley.

Llewellyn's Welsh, surely he doesn't qualify as Southern Area?

We'll find out soon enough anyway.

it'd be wrong to put Kenna in with AH at this stage and I hope doesn't happen.

whats that big lad from Liverpool called at heavy lost his first couple of fights but won the rest?

I Reckon Audley will be announcing a s'area title shot, but I am not expecting the opponent to be much kop (in relation to the top Brit HW's), if he is going to get a shot and the Britsih title it is going to have to be through a mandatory defence and the s/area title will put him in a commanding position (then hopefully onto the purse bids).

I would like his British title fight to be on the BBC, but it would also be nice to see Audley kick FW's boys arse on SKY (and to see FW interviewed after the fight  )

Paul Buttery? From Preston but has has a few of his fights in Liverpool, lost his first by KO but won the rest apart from a draw against Kenna, where he actually fought orthodox for the first time, he reverted to southpaw for his two subsequent fights I think. If it's him you're talking about - he's not got the experience or savvy to offer any sort of test for Harrison, plus I'm 85% sure he's jacked it in.

Oh right, sorry I thought you meant Buttery.

Moran has had some good results, especially Mat Ellis WKO4 but although he's tall he only tips the scales at about 14 stone I think. Do you think he'd be big enough to trouble Audley?

To suceed at heavyweight when you're 15 stone and below you've got to be a quality operator.

Sorry. I always thought he was a Welshman but me know what thought did...

You could of course say: ''If a puppie's born in a stable it doesn't make it a horse." But that wouldn't be PC.

aren't there a few free agents knocking around? couldn't audley realistically import a respected operator from US, sedrick fields or someone, and just forget about southern area shit. he should line himself up for a european title shot. it's obviously too much trouble for everyone with the british title occupied by SN.

i'd rather he fight vassilev than kenna, although vassilev is a human punchbag. not a competitive fight.

does his opponent get revealed tomorrow then?

His opponent will be at the press conference so surely it must be a well known boxer.

People wanted a title so don't expect it to be a tough oponent. There is no chance of him fighting Hide so if it is for the Southern area title it is almost bound to be Kenna. The Vassilev fight sounds most likely, even if he is an advanced version of Derek McCafferty. Also remember that Vassilev was Hide's last oponent so whilst I don't rate him highly, you can see how Audley is going to sell him.

geez I didn't know he was that light, if AH knew he weighed that much though he'd take that fight! You need to be at least 16 stone nowadays to have any chance with the big guys like Audley.
