I got the impression from his quotes pre-fight that he was looking ahead of Peterson. All he could talk about was moving up because Moralas and Bradley were scared of him and there was no-one left at 140.

All the arguments presented I agree with, he should avenge his recent loss (but lets not forget he didn't fight Prescott again), Mayweather would beat him easily - again I agree, its a no brainer. Yes Khan does need to seriously look at himself as stop whining about what was a fair loss - but if he fights Peterson again, there is only one winner for me.

To clarify, I'm not arguing that Khan is a PR genius, I'm not arguing that he belongs near the same ring as Floyd, I'm not arguing that he shouldn't be avenging his loss(es), I'm not arguing against the idea that he'd be better served zipping it (and getting his team to do the same). However, I know you fellas will know that the proposed fight is a possibility over the next months to two years. That being the case, added to the fact that calling people above you out is part of the boxing game, Khan calling Floyd out isn't as ridiculous as is being suggested here, as you know, it happens year in year out in boxing.

Khan comes across like such a knob sometimes I don't particularly like defending anything he says, so I'm going to leave it there. I just think he's getting more stick than his standard trade comments here merit...

He got away with not facing Prescott again because he moved up in weight and won a title and then made several subsequent defences in a short period of time.

However Prescott turned in a number of very mundine performances including a few losses and was shown to be more a boxer that got lucky rather than the next Julian Jackson.

Khan also took his knocks admirably well against known punchers like Maidena and this convinced most of the doubters that he was not a chinless wonder and a Prescott match became academic,

Lamont Peterson is different and I feel he has shown himself to be a very sore loser and the appeals do him no favours whatsoever. That result will not be turned around in a million years as it was a very close fight.

If Khan had just kept quiet got on with the rematch and proven the first result was a fluke, he would have earned a lot more respect and greater sympathy for the deuctions in the first fight.

I always admire Lennox Lewis for the way he behaved after the Rahman loss, he got him back in the ring as quicly as possible and blew him out quicker and more impressivelly than he had been beaten in the first fight

If someone can forward me the rule that says who can and can't be called out, and in what circumstances, I'll jump back in.

I have no objections at all with Khan calling out Mayweather or anyone else for that matter. What I don't like is him looking forward to facing a weaker version of Floyd. Doesn't he realise that if he beats a sub par Mayweather his victory would be devalued? A true warrior does not hope that his opponent gets nobbled before they fight - he wants to fight the best AT their best.

Have to agree with King G. Amir and Floyd would be as one sided as Ward - Froch.

Khan needs to get his ass back to reality. He just isnt in touch right now. Sure, Mayweather will be affected by Jail, to some extent, but Khan couldn't live with him unless he ambushed mayweather with a baseball bat as he left the jail.

Khan really need to be quiet for a while, and get himself a title belt before he starts making such ridiculous statements
