to answer a couple of posts while i was away from the keyboard .

I dont really see it disrespecting Adnan , He is a really nice guy when ive spoken to him , always comes across well in interviews etc too , as he did on bunce's show ,

Im merely criticising his recent performance and asking where he goes from here ,

When mentioning those 2 lads , i was stating that they would have stopped him on that particular performance .

One of my 2 lads is a Light Middleweight , the other currently boxes at Super Middle but will box at Middleweight in the Pros ,

Now if i take out the heavier lad as he will need to be brought along slower than the other , the Light Middleweight is going to do very well as a pro , his unlicensed record is that hes unbeaten in 9 fights with 7 knockouts , we match him extremely hard so that he can learn from the fights and id rather he loses now and learns from it than when hes a pro , hes even boxed a heavyweight when he was set up in a show in Leicesterr , he had previously knocked out their biggest ticket seller so they told us his mate wanted a crack at him next time , said he was slightly heavier , and as we wanted to match him hard we accepted , little did we know until we got there that the lad was over 16 stone , my lad boxed his ears off and almost stopped him , and suffered a cracked rib in the process , when we saw the oppponent we said the fight couldnt happen but the lad insisted he would do the fight and did very well only to get robbed and see the ref give it as a draw , this is the unfortunate side of unlicensed boxing and we refuse to take boxers to that promotors shows any more .

Our lad had his first ever bout in september , so hes boxed an average of once a month so far.

He has read this thread and others on here and stated he would happilly box Nasser Al Harbi on his debut , i of course told him it wasnt going to happen , he needs to be reigned in a bit , he thinks he is ready now to box those sorts of lads but myself and his trainer are trying to keep him on the ground and out of the clouds , he would turn pro tomorrow if we would allow him , hes sparred some descent guys and not one has ever got the better of him .

If theres any unlicensed promotors reading this i would happilly bring him to box their Light Middleweight champions , anywhere anytime , as he can only benefit , probably would even accept at middleweight .

But .... I wont go as far as naming them just yet ...... I firstly dont want any promotor to attempt to sign them , especially the light middle , as hes extremely eager to turn pro , so basically dont want someone tapping him up ,

Plus id like to make sure theres not too much pressure on him yet , its already getting harder to match him on unlicensed shows as people dont want to box him ,

Hes not the most stylistic of boxers , he can box dont get me wrong , but hes become a kind of mini tyson type of boxer , im not going to heap pressure on him by saying hes going to achieve what tyson did , far from it , but thats the closest style to his i can name ,

People will want to watch him in the pros, thats a certainty .

Hes a nice guy , hes had a tough life but managed to keep out of trouble with the law etc , hes focused and hes in the gym pretty much every day .

When the time is right he will be named on here , that i assure you of .

Theres still plenty of time for Adnan to recover , but he wont need me to tell him how poor he was on saturday , he will know it himself , he simply should be beating the like of Curruthers , who in my view can be very happy with his performance , and no doubt will be feeling very optimistic about his own options right now .

Beating white collar fighters and beating seasoned pro's are two different things, as an example a white collar fighter who has dominated white collar at Supermiddle and light Heavy ( won all of his fights and stopped nearly all of them ) sparred with Nasser, even though Nasser is really a welter, the kid come out hard but ended up getting schooled and banged up, he lasted about 3 or 4 rounds and was covered in blood, blowing quite heavy he was on the verge of getting stopped, when his trainer said thats enough, without mentioning names, can you imagine what woulld have happened if they had been the same weight, when your lad has proved himself in the pros and not got knocked out, then you can talk.

Come on Saffy we know you are proud of your son and his 'achievements' are a testimony to your 'training' but please be realistic when you make such absurd claims. I presume this sparring session took place wearing sparring equipment (ie: headguards and heavier gloves) and Nasser battered a supermiddle/lightheavy to the point of near stoppage??

Your son can't hurt people wearing 8oz/10oz gloves Saffy (the fearsome Thai he beat had already been stopped nine times before he fought Nasser) I saw Nasser fight Lee Noble and Noble was laughing and talking to Nasser after he landed his 'shots'

Insider made an excellent suggestion yesterday, start your own thread Saffy (you can even ask the mods to make it a 'sticky') and use that as a platform for your increasingly delusional and self absorbed rants.

Our lad had his first ever bout in september , so hes boxed an average of once a month so far.

He has read this thread and others on here and stated he would happilly box Nasser Al Harbi on his debut , i of course told him it wasnt going to happen , he needs to be reigned in a bit , he thinks he is ready now to box those sorts of lads but myself and his trainer are trying to keep him on the ground and out of the clouds , he would turn pro tomorrow if we would allow him , hes sparred some descent guys and not one has ever got the better of him .

If theres any unlicensed promotors reading this i would happilly bring him to box their Light Middleweight champions , anywhere anytime , as he can only benefit , probably would even accept at middleweight .

But .... I wont go as far as naming them just yet ...... I firstly dont want any promotor to attempt to sign them , especially the light middle , as hes extremely eager to turn pro , so basically dont want someone tapping him up ,

Plus id like to make sure theres not too much pressure on him yet , its already getting harder to match him on unlicensed shows as people dont want to box him ,

Hes not the most stylistic of boxers , he can box dont get me wrong , but hes become a kind of mini tyson type of boxer , im not going to heap pressure on him by saying hes going to achieve what tyson did , far from it , but thats the closest style to his i can name ,

People will want to watch him in the pros, thats a certainty .

Hes a nice guy , hes had a tough life but managed to keep out of trouble with the law etc , hes focused and hes in the gym pretty much every day .

When the time is right he will be named on here , that i assure you of .

Theres still plenty of time for Adnan to recover , but he wont need me to tell him how poor he was on saturday , he will know it himself , he simply should be beating the like of Curruthers , who in my view can be very happy with his performance , and no doubt will be feeling very optimistic about his own options right now .

Its obviously not realistic to expect a debut boxer to be matched with people like Nasser no matter how i think the result would be .

at the end of the day theres more to being a pro boxer than being able to box , as daft as it sounds some things are equally as important as ability , and this is the part the general fan sometimes struggles to understand .

Ive also got a cruiserweight who i too think would be up there challenging for the british title , hes got the ability , but he cant be bothered to train properly , if hes not bothered im not going to put that same effort into him and hes already stated he has no desire to turn pro as he likes to party too much , its a shame but its not a life they all want to live .

Like Law I think Adnan needs to call it quits. I don't know if it's injury or distractions outside the ring that's kept him to a mere twenty eight fights in an eleven year career but he's lost all momentum now and it would be sad to see him reduced to a trialhorse for prospects.

i dont think he the outside distraction type , if anything was an outside distraction then could possible be work (he does taxi driving) , maybe sometimes a wage needs to come before training , and i do believe hes also had a few injuries too .
