Adnan amar

Post by Adamj1987 »

Where does he go from here? Hes had 2 losses on the run and was battered out the ring last night (litterally in the first) at his debut at middleweight(i think). Props to terry for pulling it off. But whats next for him?

He seemed like a slickster and was better than english title level.

He lost to a guy that has drew and lost to Andy Cosnett , Cosnett was battered in a round on my last unlicensed show .

I know it doesnt mean much like that really but to think ive got 2 unlicensed lads who would stop adnan and dont have an amateur or pro bout between them , i dont think theres much left for adnan now .

He only fights poor opposition , he cant sell tickets , Highly unlikely he will have many options other than for opponents on the way up to get a name on their record .

Might be time to call it a day .

I agree.

Whenever I've seen him I've never been impressed, even against the weaker opponents that I've seen him in with.

He could be a goodish journeyman if he wanted to, but given that he only fights once in a blue moon I can't see it happening.

I haven't seen last nights fight, but I was alarmed to see how he folded against Purdy.
Inactivity just does not work.

You have hit the nail on the head there mate, it's all down to inactivity, Adnan is talented but his style with hands down and chin up in the air is risky, I don't think he will be a journeyman, both him and his family would not want that, plus he is not renowned for durability, which journeymen thrive on. I don't believe so called white collar fighters are good enough to beat decent pro's, not at all, I have had unbeaten ones come and spar with my pros and to be honest they have been out classed and been unable to complete the rounds. Lets be honest if Adnan was fighting a so called white collar fighter last night, he would won easily.

The fact that you don't rate Nas but you rate your so called white collar fighters so high just shows that you don't belong in this business and if you tell anyone of knowledge in the industry that, you would be laughed at, you don't even know what white collar, speak to Neil Perkins if Fighting fit city gym he does proper white collar events, Solicitors, office workers, finance consultants, bankers ect, not people of the street, not failed boxers, not street fighters ect, not people just looking to make a few quid and beat up on someone who has never laced on a pair of gloves in there life before, What does the term white collar mean ? do you know ? White collar boxing sells an experience to people who would normally step in the ring. Yours is just unlicensed fighting, not even boxing in most cases and while you are speaking to Neil ask him how good Nasser is, you plank.

The same Neil Perkins that never beat an opponent with a winning record and got humiliated in less than a minute by Danny Hughes ..... his opinion is worth what exactly Image

Saf ,

Ive never said i dont rate your son , i actually said he was very quick but he just lacked a bit of power , so stop making up things i didnt say , I even said Nas would beat Adnan Amar , which is a compliment when you consider amar would look good on Nassers record , better than anything else on his record so far , so take that as a free tip rather than rubbishing my comments , you would do well to listen to that .

And dont make me laugh about Neil , one of the worst examples you could have given.

As for your comment on white collar boxing , White collar , unlicensed , semi pro etc is all the same thing , however its dressed up its all still unlicensed boxing , i do the same as Neil only better .

I dont put on one sided beatings , they are all fairly matched , as anyone on here whos been to my shows will agree .

You say i dont know what im talking about yet everytime your fingers touch the keyboard you type utter tripe .

As previously stated , go about your business , in a respectable manner , and Let Nasser do tthe Talking in the ring .

Fully aware that financial side isnt going to be easy your not telling me anything i dont know there .

Ok i admit wording it the way i did may not have sounded very complimentary , ill give you that .

but to say that because someones won an english title means my guys wouldnt beat him is ignorant as you dont know these lads .

Theres a poster on here , who i wont mention his name but if he chooses to comment then he will do , who is close to Adnan , and also knows one of the lads i mentioned quite well too , who agreed when i said on saturday night that my guy would have stopped adnan .

wether he chooses to comment on this on here is upto him as he may not wish to do so seeing that hes friends with adnan , but im hoping he does , just so that he clarify im not talking crap .

I wouldnt expect him to do so though as it would maybe put him in an awkward position .

Ill re-iterate to be competely clear im not saying anything bad against your son whatsover , and in all honesty i think everyone who gets in the ring , no matter at what level are all worthy of my respect and of any other boxing fans , Just wish you would get off your high horse thinking no one knows as much as you , maybe people would actually take your opinion seriously if it wasnt always coupled with abusing someone , you need to start realising that not everyone has the same opinion , if someone doesnt rate Nasser then so what ,no big deal , the most important thing is he shows them in the ring why they are wrong , just as i intend to do with my lads .

I was never a fan of unlicensed but two of my lads boxed on damien last show and it was very good dont get me wrong standard wise some bouts was not up there but like damien says they was fairly matched with only a couple of stoppages. The prizefighter final between how lad and fergies was up there with any small hall pro fight or british masters.

Thank you Clinton .

edit:
there was 3 stoppages in 18 bouts , of those 3 stoppages 2 were knockout wins , by the 2 lads im mentioning above , the other was Clintons lad getting a stoppage in the semi final of prizefighter in what was otherwise a good close fight .

:TU:

sometimes some of the bouts arent of the highest standard ,as Clinton pointed out but of those they are matched with other guys who arent too good , no different to how novices box each other in the amateurs really

Back onto the topic ::

What would be Adnan Amars next step ?

He could earn well as a an oponent to test up and comers , maybe getting a good name on their record etc ,
But realistically what more could he acheive ?

As ive stated earlier could it be time to consider packing it in ?

Certainly didnt look like the extra weight helped him too much , so maybe reconsider that idea .

Amar has gone of the boil dramatically but give him some respect - he was English champion.

What is the name of your two lads who would beat him, so we can follow their careers?

Injuries haven't helped Adnan, just couldn't seem to get a decent run of fights. That said, on recent evidence his resistance appears not to be the best.

I thought he came across as a nice fella in interviews. Good luck to him, whatever he decides.
