It's not like they are being let out of prison for the fight to take place, and there are no calls for either man to be extradited.
They are both fit and healthy.
If they do wrong out of the ring then let the police decide the punishment, not the BBBofC.
There was and is no reason for this fight not to go ahead.

Yes - thanks for the offer. I can't find any evidence to support your statement that it makes a profit. Their accounts aren't even due until October.
So, if you could send me this info, that would be spot on - thanks.

x 2 - although I share the view of Twenty six somewhat about the fight. I think twenty six might go OTT in calling it a crap fight - but it is certainly more hype than substance. Its been described as the Biggest fight in British boxing history - one of these fighters has lost 3 of his last 4 fights, and the other stank the place out in his last two fights.
Its a good, competitive(ish), European level fight (not a legitimate world title eliminator as described on this thread) - but without the hype it wouldn't even be close to a stadium seller.
People scoffed at Chisora being awarded a world title fight, and yes - he went on to lose this fight by 8 rounds.... now people are saying he is worthy of fighting in a world title eliminator.
This hype job that seems to be happening in British boxing is what is damaging the sport. Great for short term, terrible for long term. The two most recent "hyped" fights in British boxing.... Haye vs Harrison, Groves vs Degale. Look what happend, both were stinkers and both I think cause more long term harm than good (even though Haye vs Harrison especially did great at the box office).
A shame about Groves and Degale - both lovely boxers, evenly matched - but hyped beyond believe - it was nothing more than a British title fight.
Glyn, you mention Chisora a lot - what about your views on Haye and the LBF - given that the BBBoC noted that Haye would have a lot to answer for should he request a licence.

In a nutshell, Haye has no license and Chisoras license is suspended, therefore they should not be eligible to fight. Rules are made in order to protect boxers, the sport in question and overall prevent a state of chaos. Unfortunately certain greedy people believe that rules are made to be broken or ignored when there is money to be made, indeed breaking rules may actually make more money as the riff raff element of the crowd seem to like nothing better than to see some 'bad boys' fighting.
Just dont be surprised if this situation leads to boxing being dragged even lower in this country, and becoming even more of a fringe sport frequented by louts and beerbellies eating their latest kebab.

Good summary
It's not the mega world class epic some are trying to make out but it's a decent Euro-level match.

A mite simplistic there KG! What rules should and shouldn't be followed then? Boxing is a sport, rules are integral. Should footballers be allowed to throw the ball into the net? Should sprinters be allowed to use motorbikes? Should boxers who have failed their brainscans by given licences anyway? You can't pick and choose according to what rules you might like on any given day otherwise you would get anarchy. If rules are to be changed it need not be done by breaking them first, although that obviously provides a possible shortcut for the impatient. But you sign up for the rules that are in place and should play by them IMO.
Stu - At least as long as Chisora was given IMO

Because you will open the Pandora’s box, think of it like this, Luxemburg or any other body, then has a free rein to stage boxing shows, without permission from anybody’s jurisdiction you want to, not just in Britain, but in any country, as would every other authority be able to do the same, that means, suspension/banning a fighter' control of the sport mean's fk all, as you just move to the next body, you can then have a situation where you can have British fighters, fighting for the the Luxemburg British title on British soil and so on, unification fights of British titles and other invented Belts ect, we already have too many world body's , we will never know who the real champ is! politics (no control) The BBBoC are right to make a massive stance, as are all the other governing bodies of the world right to support BBBoC, as next time it may be them under attack, above is only a small bit of what can happen with no authority, in fact sack the police let’s have a riot.

Would it have been ok for the Nevada commission to try and stop Margarito or Tyson fighting in their state if either had turned up with a Tennessee license after their respective bans?
Do people think that Chisora's actions should have been ignored after his actions in Munich or is a ban a reasonable punishment?
If you feel punishments should have been handed out, do you agree the BBBoC were the correct body to deal with this?
If Chisora misbehaves again who should have the right to punish him now!

In the unlikely event of it actually taking place , it means all those involved have actually no moral principles whatsoever . You have an absolute cowardly moron fighting a money grabbing big head and you all want to see this and make them and others , wealthy .
Has anybody heard anything about the respective training camps ? I'm assuming for this great battle they will be well into their training schedule by now .
