What are your objections to Chisora and Haye fighting?
Not for the 1st time, i am baffled by some of the reactions on here to this BBBoC, EBU blah blah blah Chisora - Haye situation.
Has the whole world lost its effing mind?
Both fighters are physically at their peak, no medical issues, the public interest is immense due to the brawl in Germany and the fight is a legitimate world title eliminator between 2 British fighters.
This is what boxing is all about.
Oh wait, no. The BBBoC have decided that because of that brawl in Germany, the fight cant go ahead and some people on here are actually pleased about it?
Get your heads out of your arses and see the bigger picture.
Boxing fans who dont want to see boxing fights and a board of control who agree?

i want to see the fight i just would like it done properly. it seems like its 1 step away from recognizing the EBF. and what happens if you're suspended do you just ignore it and say you're from another country?

Define "done properly"
What is "improper" about Haye - Chisora?
Peter Buckley licenced!
Haye, Chisora, not!
Excrement

Through the proper channels as in throught th BBBoC. You wouldnt get a fight staged in nevada sanctioned by california. Look at margarito his suspension was upheld in the united states but jot mexico i would argue that if suspended by 1 commision it should be held up by every commisiion not ones that think about money first.Khaosai-Galaxy wrote:Adamj1987 wrote:i want to see the fight i just would like it done properly. it seems like its 1 step away from recognizing the EBF. and what happens if you're suspended do you just ignore it and say you're from another country?

I have no problem with them being granted a licence i just think they could of made the fight after the suspension was lifted, what is another few months?

Re: What are your objections to Chisora and Haye fighting?
Agree with you 100% its beyond a fornicating joke, makes me sick, An event like this will get all the casuals wacthing all the pricks that i work with will be talking about it instead of football for a change, It puts boxing in the papers. The board are a joke they should have gave Chisora just a ban for couple of months but they couldnt figure out what to do the bunch of numptys, Look at the exposure Tyson brought to boxing, He was saying he was gonna fornicate reporters up the arse till they loved him, bit into lewis' leg, Banging on about eating his children, You need characters in sport.Khaosai-Galaxy wrote:Not for the 1st time, i am baffled by some of the reactions on here to this BBBoC, EBU blah blah blah Chisora - Haye situation.

Do you work for the local council?
Yeah, great idea!
Lets wait for 3 months for pointless paperwork to get passed around rather than have the fight in the summer in an outdoors venue!
Head out of arse, please.

Re: What are your objections to Chisora and Haye fighting?
imo people want to see allegedly and allegedly fail. This event could be a last throw of the dice as far as the channel is concerned
As for the actual fight, I just can't get that excited over it. Not because of press conferences, Luxembourg or whatever, I just don't find either fighter that exciting at present and the idea of swallowing a fcuk load of hype to watch a fight which I don't expect to excite me doesn't turn me on
Also I'd disagree with the idea of thousands of people subscribing to allegedly off the back of this one fight, Haye will have to go into hype overdrive and people have been bitten twice by him now

Too many James Mays who are more interested in regulations and studying boxers records than watching 2 closely matched UK fighters in a bad blood match.
I imagine we'll lose a lot of traffic on here soon...... once the Crown Green Bowls season starts!!

Yeah great idea like the last 1 at upton park where everyone retrated to the stands because of the rain and its in england just because it summer doesnt mean its going to be good weather anyway. september is one of the hotest months of the year anyway. If you dont like my reasons fair enough just seems like the tip of the ice berg to me really. suspended on health grounds? No problem come to bosnia we will give you a licenceKhaosai-Galaxy wrote:Adamj1987 wrote:Through the proper channels as in throught th BBBoC. I've no idea. But the chap at the launch press conference said they would need 100k subscribers to make it work (before somebody dismissed that). That would be mightily impressive. The Dark Destroyer wrote:Is it doing badly, financially speaking?dondada wrote:Really? How so?Khaosai-Galaxy wrote:

Khaosai,
Can I just ask if you believe this fight would be even spoken about, let alone happening had Haye not retired, and Chisora not been suspended ?
You can't understand the fuss with the Board etc, I don't understand the fuss about the fight period regardless of all the shinanigans.
I don't care if they fight in the UK Mongolia Luxemburg or Marbella.
I'm only interested in the fight and for me it's a crap fight.

I suppose it depends on which investor you listen to.

Yes, Haye is a top heavyweight and Chisora is a charasmatic British heavy who looked pretty handy against Vitali last time out.twenty six wrote:Khaosai,

In todays moribund HW division, its a very attractive fight.twenty six wrote: You can't understand the fuss with the Board etc, I don't understand the fuss about the fight period regardless of all the shinanigans.
Crap fight? Come on, its not Lewis - Tyson, but its better than any other british HW fight out there.twenty six wrote: I don't care if they fight in the UK Mongolia Luxemburg or Marbella.

Re: What are your objections to Chisora and Haye fighting?
For me, Chisora is on a 'ban' and that's my only objection to a fight I am looking forward to. His licence was withdrawn rather than suspended or lost, but the overall effect is temporary ban. Not getting into the difference between each and the loophole in the Board's ruling that has been exploited, nor am I entering into 'should Chisora have had his licence taken away?' The fact is he is currently without a British licence due to disciplinary action. You could argue that six months is a long enough period for what he did in Munich and that he should be allowed to fight in July with a BBBofC licence. It's unfortunate that the appeal hearing was postponed to July. Had it taken place on the original date a couple of months ago, none of this might be happening. My head is in favour of the fight but my heart is telling me it isn't right. Rules are rules. Fair or not, the rules should be adhered to in my opinion and they are not in this case.
