Curtis looked much the smaller guy, miles is a beast at the weight. curtis was doing well, jabbing well off the back foot and when they traded curtis was holding his own and landing cleaner and in particular success with the left hook in close. Miles seemed to be starting to tire and i thought the weight making might take its toll as curtis was landing clean and regular...but alas. curtis obviously thought the same and walked into a big one, if curtis could have dragged miles a couple more rounds he could have done it.

i always thought curtis was up against it when i saw the size of miles, it was a decent stoppage as it was a crisp clean shot that dropped 'the destroyer'.
Curtis got up at 7 and a half but the ref looked into his eyes and he was not 'clear'.

Miles beats frankie gavin in my opinion.....time will tell.

My biggest disappointment of the night was hosea burton, i had read and seen so much, but in reality i saw a lanky man with poor timing, rushing his shots, missing, loading up too much, not using the jab enough etc etc. perhaps it was a bad night at the office for him...again, time will tell!!
Miles will not beat Gavin.
and Gavin will easily beat Curtis, should stop him early, no substitute for class, Curtis has no amateur experience, Gavin was an amateur star.......
And Gavin did win!

With all due respect to frankie he did not win like the vast majority of us expected him to; Curtis; leagues apart in experience and the overall quality of the set up gave him a right kick up the arse. A split decision loss to frankie gavin after a pretty low key amateur and early pro fights is a real good result. If Miles was much stronger and got Curtis out then he's a good, strong fighter. Frankie didn't put a dent into Curtis and Miles has; I can see why some would reckon Dale would beat Gavin.

You've got to love Curt and his approach to the sport.
Already slated for 28th September against Dave Ryan.
Top man.

Just watched this fight VIA youtube. Great 4th round. Great performance in defeat too Curtis. You did well mate with a very terrier like performance i thought. You were having some sucess till he landed that bomb of a right. IMO he was just too big, he looked at least 2 divisions above you. Good look on the 28th of Sept.
