Shit = Curtis knocked down and stopped in fifth but werent happy bout the stoppage
Re: Woodhouse/Miles RbR Expect Spoilers
Miles is naturally a much bigger fighter and is quite heavy handed but I expected this to be a close fight. I hope it wasn't a premature stoppage because Curtis trained really hard for this.smoggy7188 wrote:Shit = Curtis knocked down and stopped in fifth but werent happy bout the stoppage

Miles came out strong early and went after the early finish. He was starting to get tired and curtis was starting to come on strong.

Hosea Burton won 40-35.
Re: Woodhouse/Miles RbR Expect Spoilers
Terrible result for Curtis, i'm sure he'll be able to give his own assessment on here in time but hopefully he can re-group and come back stronger.smoggy7188 wrote:Shit = Curtis knocked down and stopped in fifth but werent happy bout the stoppage

Dale can really punch. Saw him from ringside and he is very heavy handed. No shame in this Curtis.exittored wrote:Terrible result for Curtis, i'm sure he'll be able to give his own assessment on here in time but hopefully he can re-group and come back stronger.smoggy7188 wrote:Shit = Curtis knocked down and stopped in fifth but werent happy bout the stoppage

Hi guys, congrats to dale miles on the win, it was a hell of a fight and I thought I was on the verge of getting him out of there then I got nailed, my first thought was I was fine to go on but I didn't realise I had been down till after the fight and my team all said the ref made a great call, I need a rest after that one as I've fractured my cheek bone but as soon as I'm better ill be giving it another go

Full respect to you Curtis, good luck for the future. Miles looks like he's a hell of a handful he can't be far off winning a British titlecurtis wood wrote:Hi guys, congrats to dale miles on the win, it was a hell of a fight and I thought I was on the verge of getting him out of there then I got nailed, my first thought was I was fine to go on but I didn't realise I had been down till after the fight and my team all said the ref made a great call, I need a rest after that one as I've fractured my cheek bone but as soon as I'm better ill be giving it another go

x2. Curtis's standing continues to rise and rise among us regardless of this defeat because he's got exactly the right attitude. Time time off to recuperate and then back at 'em champMachoMan09 wrote:People should read the above and take note; the right way to react to a defeat - it's a trait I respect a lot.curtis wood wrote:Hi guys, congrats to dale miles on the win, it was a hell of a fight and I thought I was on the verge of getting him out of there then I got nailed, my first thought was I was fine to go on but I didn't realise I had been down till after the fight and my team all said the ref made a great call, I need a rest after that one as I've fractured my cheek bone but as soon as I'm better ill be giving it another go

Re: Woodhouse/Miles RbR Expect Spoilers/ Curtis result in.
i was there last night
Curtis looked much the smaller guy, miles is a beast at the weight. curtis was doing well, jabbing well off the back foot and when they traded curtis was holding his own and landing cleaner and in particular success with the left hook in close. Miles seemed to be starting to tire and i thought the weight making might take its toll as curtis was landing clean and regular...but alas. curtis obviously thought the same and walked into a big one, if curtis could have dragged miles a couple more rounds he could have done it.
i always thought curtis was up against it when i saw the size of miles, it was a decent stoppage as it was a crisp clean shot that dropped 'the destroyer'.
Curtis got up at 7 and a half but the ref looked into his eyes and he was not 'clear'.
Miles beats frankie gavin in my opinion.....time will tell.
My biggest disappointment of the night was hosea burton, i had read and seen so much, but in reality i saw a lanky man with poor timing, rushing his shots, missing, loading up too much, not using the jab enough etc etc. perhaps it was a bad night at the office for him...again, time will tell!!

and Gavin will easily beat Curtis, should stop him early, no substitute for class, Curtis has no amateur experience, Gavin was an amateur star.......mickey1975 wrote:Miles will not beat Gavin.rhino222 wrote:i was there last night
