Toney would look more the part, however, unlike Tyson, he still has a serious boxing career to look after.

Tyson's voice is going to sound ludicrous on film....he sounds like a bloody 10 year old girl.....

Tyson is finished as a serious force in the division, get over it, and yourself, and take your prozac wacko-boy....What are you, his boyfriend or something?

Man, I like Tyson too, but theres no need to disrespect James over it.

You must have a serious obsession with Tyson, I suggest you start watching some other fighters.

First of all

James wrote this :

and I was reacting to his ATTACK on Tyson!

I'm a big fan of Tyson in the way some of you brits are dedicated to your soccer teams like Manchester United!

I've gone from being a teenager to an adult supporting him and I always will.

To me, he is the the most complete boxer ever, especially between 86-89

OK, though I've never seen any of his fights there, I'm willing to concede that during the 2 or 3 days Mike fought at between 86 and 89 pounds, he may have been the best ever at that weight.

I dont really follow soccer, I think its over hyped.

But going back to Tyson, at his best I think he would have been competetive with the best HW's in history like Louis, Holmes, Liston, Ali, Marciano etc. I would have favoured him to beat Marciano and Ali, I couldnt seperate Tyson, Holmes and Liston, but I would have given Joe Louis the edge over him.

Its all subjective, but lets not fall out over it. Not falling out is what makes Boxrec great.

Boxing has got along just fine without Tyson since Holyfield finished him in 97.

His fights since then have just been side shows....

First of all Holyfield cheated against Tyson by repeatedly head-butting him in the first fight! Holyfield should have been Disqualified

Lewis also cheated against Tyson by leaning on Tyson 57 TIMES and pushing him to the grounds 2 times. Lewis should have been disqualified!

Buster Douglas should have been counted out in the 8th round

So in my eyes, Tyson is still UNDEFEATED!

Including the Lewis one, he fought a finished Tyson, as you allude to in your post, Goz.

Tyson blatantly elbowed Michael spinks, Tyson should have been disqualified. Tyson tried to break Botha's arm, Tyson should have been disqualified.

C'mon now, let's not stray from the real issue here.

What other boxers could you see being cast in 80's remakes?
How about a remake of Rocky 4 starring

Joe Mesi...... Rocky Balboa ( short, Italian American, no boxing skill whatsoever)
Vitali Klitschko.... Ivan Drago ( big, robotic, east european, anything he hits-he destroys)
Chris Byrd...... Apollo Creed ( skillful dancer, couldn't hurt Drago/Klitschko if he hit him with the ring stool)
John Ruiz..... Pauilie

I've just realised, this is my 100th post! I know it's not much compared to most of the guys in here, but What the hell, I've finally achieved something with my life!

Hmmm. Come to think of it, I wish I'd written somthing a little bit more memorable.
