Don't you put on shows at venues with a capacity of under 1500, come on now ! The 18 fights comment was more of a joke comment, but you show a lot of fights on boxrec and they do diminish come fight night, you are lagging behind on quality compared to other smaller promoters, it does not matter if it is under 6 fights or 7, surely not worthy of top of the bill, Prizefighter has nothing to do with it at all, they are 3 rounders, in which anyone can win and much more entertaining.[/quote]stevegoodwin wrote:

i recall calzaghe-hopkins being a shocking broadcast when it was live. the worst i've ever seen. was it to encourage us to buy the dvd?The Dark Destroyer wrote:G0mez wrote:The picture quality on bxonation is appalling.
It's like someone smeared Vaseline on the tv screen.
It's not that bad, HD has just spoiled you.
Their replay of the Hopkins-Calzaghe fight I caught a while back was appalling though, I don't know why but it was barely watchable, Calzaghe-Kessler was quite bad too.
x2 Well said!d wrote:Think Steve is getting a hard time on here tbh.
He's brought his stable to a free to air channel knowing its costing him money to do so but is looking at the long term picture.
There's only so much money you can lose on shows and that goes for if you're paying for better fights or tv production etc.
The problem is also on paper, a kid with a 4-14 record might seem rubbish, but if you have seen him before you may well know that he would give your prospect a test and the fans an entertaining fight.
Some opponents i get for my prospects may look to have poor records, but i tend to go on if they come to fight. Of course you cant get it right every time and sometimes you get a dud or theres no one else around you you get the dreaded 'survivor' in.
Its very hard for all of us in the game right now, and the more boxers that are unwilling to take fights and be prepared to lose, the more problems we will have making competitive matches.
These days you have kids that don't sell particularly well, aren't stars in the making, but yet still won't fight unless they are in the 'home' corner.
We will have to agree to disagree. I could sit here and point out how wrong you are by going through the fights we have staged.but its pointless. You are entitled to your opinion but it is not shared by all and not by the people who matter i.e those who come and pay to go to our shows.danconnollyeire wrote:Don't you put on shows at venues with a capacity of under 1500, come on now ! Once again your posts are inaccurate so TBH not really sure what you add to any forum as you cant seem to get your facts right on most things. Then on the basis of inaccurate facts as you dont seem to read correctly insult people.

Ha ha, true to form, very predictable. Word of advice : Don't post too much, when you have nothing constructive to say, wait a few days till you can think of something worthwhile.danconnollyeire wrote:Such a twat... think you'll be better off supporting tennisPeter Parker wrote:Never said you had, It was Danconollyeire, read it again, know you have not insulted me, until now, don't think I have gave that impression, I think you are the one who does not seem to read correctly and just because I don't share your opinion, don't mean I can't get my facts right, in fact the last thing you wrote on this thread was something like not having to Justify your belief in the quality of your shows and you would not be commenting on this thread again, fair play for that, yet you still have and now accuse me of something I have not done, well done for that, admire your passion for your shows and wish you success, but get your fact right before you jump in.stevegoodwin wrote:Peter Parker or whoever you are

Leave the small show promotors alone, they're doing what they do for the good of the sport
Hassle Maloney and co as we really don't care what you have to say
