he seems to be a good athlete and while his punches are not correct and he has lapses, he can probably have a decent career, especially with the name he carries which will net him some opportunities. he probably will have to fight his arse off, though. if brian magee is a world champ, then you can't exactly say that eubank jr can't "go all the way"!

Some fighters may not be one punch artists but they can put people away if they land sustained flurries e.g. Calzaghe. Eubank does not sustain attacks just now, he needs to start doing that, I feel.
x2. I hope Brad comes on here and gives us his summary of Eubank. Remember Tony Dobson did after he lost against Froch which was very insightful, good to have more of it win or lose.

He said on his FaceBook page he's not ready to hang the gloves up, just needs to get fights at his natural weight with proper notice. Hope it comes off for him, he's a nice fella by all accounts, turned his life around and his fight against Small was one of the best I've seen live, really mature, patient performance and thought he may have a chance at a world title with performances like that. Hope it comes off for him.

Don't want to do Bradley any disservice... he put on a very very brave performance on Saturday. I really take my hat to him. However, how many years has he talked about being a natural Welter and that would be the weight that suits him.... I completely agree, but I think it is time for him to do it.

I understand he has bill to pay etc - but he is still a name fighter, still an exciting fighter to watch who gives it his all. I'm sure he would get opportunities at Welterweight etc - I still think Frankie Gavin would learn something defending against Pryce.

Time for him to do it though. A bit like when Paul Smith said he was fighting at Middle from now on - one quick KO win looking good at the new weight and he was back challenging Groves.

Stu, I'm not too sure how many tickets Bradley sells but that may play a part in why he's so often been billed out of the blue corner throughout his career.

Just as an aside the fact that Eubank couldn't hurt a blown up welterweight who has been stopped at lower weights is really damning for his power

Good point and I don't know the answer to that. I would assume he would be in the blue corner for most Welterweight fights - but I am sure the fans of the red corner fighter (e.g. Gavin, Heffron, Woodhouse etc) wouldn't think "oh he's only fighting Pryce, I aint bothering to turn up".

I hope Bradley doesn't read my messages as a criticism, its just I find it a tad frustrating cause I do believe he can be at least highly competitive at domestic and commonwealth level at Welterweight. I would still give Bradley a very good chance against Junior Witter as an example.

Lets hope Bradley will make a post, personally I felt Bradley was hurt a few times and was breaking up there (think he had a busted nose). He was never "gone" but was hurt I thought. I think there were times in which a cautious ref might have stepped in.

Agreed, those jabs were taking there toll. His head was being snapped back regularly and over time they must start to hurt and weaken you. Plus the uppercut to the body that Eubank landed towards the end of a round stopped Pryce in his tracks and I thought if the round went on a bit longer he may have got stopped then.

Hatton said PBF didn't have a knock out punch but when he landed those three jabs in quick succession, hitting the same spot in round 1 or 2 you saw from Hatton's face that they hurt.

He was very fast and accurate with a terrfiic jab. His showboating will get him beat. He simply does not have the physical attributes in terms of reflexes to box with his left hand so low. Pryce was freely landing counters and Eubank couldn't get out the way. I also felt Pryce could've been stopped if Eubank had upped the pressure.

If someone can get him on the back foot he's done for, he's impossoble to miss. I think Saunders would murder him at this stage.

In Eubanks defence Bradley is far more experienced (44 fights compared to 7) and Eubank done well against him.

Got to agree here. Really thought he was the next big thing when he started but he really is a poor mans Eubank Snr.

I think Saunders is a wonderful talent - I think he has the potential to possibly be the next Ricky Hatton - I think he has a the style and power to really transcend the sport (It is a shame that he is fighting for such an niche boxing channel).

However, I wouldn't write off Chris just yet - they are at different stages of their careers. Eubank has only just turned over and has less of an amateur career than Saunders.

Maybe in a few years down the line - Saunders vs Eubank for the world title on a terrestial channel. We can but dream.

He's fighting regularly and against decent opponents, and I think there's a lot to be encouraged about. He's not the world's biggest puncher, but that hasn't hurt Malignaggi too much, to pull a name out of the air. Do you recall how Pat Barret was at one time not considered a puncher? I think it's testament to how much potential he has that after 1 year, and half as many fights, calling out DeGale doesn't seem ludicrous. The Chunky who barely squeaked by the Frenchman the other week would have hell with Eubank, and it could go either way in my opinion. Like others, I'd like to see him showboat less, and tighten up the defence; the lad likes a tear up too much. Frank Buglioni would be a good matchup in 6 months, and if he can find a dig, I think he can mix it at the higher level. It's hard to say whether he can be a world champ or not; let's see him tried in the fire first.

(agreed that at present Saunders would have him for breakfast; just as fast, hits a lot harder, and more organised defensively. For that matter, Saunders beats DeGale right now too, fairly straightforwardly).

Me too. cant agree more. i was excited when he started off. Now i dont think he will rise above domestic level based on his latest performance.

my opinion of eubank is he wont go far,im only a light-middle weight and wasnt troubled by his power, billy joe is levels above, and the other middleweights even further, why eubank is calling out james degale at super middle is a joke.

Eubank's posturing means he throws too many single punches and not enough combinations which is what he should focus on given his speed and lack of ko punch.

He should jump in with Adam the bomber etches if he has anything about him, another young unbeaten fighter at a similar age. Mind you I wouldn't see Eubank making it past the third.

I think he can fight for a British. Whether he can win it? Depends on the champion at the time. The likes of Saunders and co are too good for him.

Talk of world titles etc seems very far fetched to me from what I have seen.

Eubank is slicker, but Etches is strong and can dig.

Be an interesting fight.

I'd love to see Eubank clash with BJ Saunders for the Britsh title. Eubank Jnr needs between 3-5 fights and sadly Saunders will probably have moved on by then. Would be a cracking fight.

Eubank jnr is being well matched, they could take the piss with knock over jobs, but they are delivering solid contests.
