Whilst I agree with a lot of what is being said about the sensationalism of such a story - there were two other thoughts that come to my mind.

1) Why go to Hide of all people? He's hardly the biggest star in boxing, there must have been quite a big tip off (and you might think based on Evidence) that Hide would say these kind of things. Which leaves me....

2) Joseph Chingangu.


Although the bollocks he was talking about how much of a star he is.... two fights and he'd be available to fight for a world title. He couldn't secure a world title fight when he was WBC mandatory a few years ago.

I dont think anyone wants to work with him. He is even called "notoriously difficult" in Adam Smith's book who gives the impression nobody at Sky liked him either. A few of my friends met him at the ABA finals in 1989 and said he was a nutcase, and he was an unknown 18 year old then.

Interview is on the BBC website with Hide about this. Interesting to get his view.

Also interesrting to hear him say he is retired and not interested in fighting...so I guess the team-up with Jon Thaxton hasn't really gone anywhere.

Fair play to hide for telling how it is. The guy was set up & fell hook line.
Sold them wraps for two hundred a pop ha!

The sun are pathetic!! Handing evidence to the police letting them know corrupt activities are taking place in the boxing business!! Ground breaking stuff ha!
