I wondered what he'd been up to lately. Kind of typical I guess.

its almost stupidity beyond belief, has he never heard of the fake sheikh's before. Must just be pure greed that he thought it wasn't a set-up.

Very interesting. Lots of Herbie Hide fights ended in weird ways, ala Frankie Swindell. Makes you wonder.
What an hideous embarrassment for Hide this is.

I can't imagine Hide being embarrassed at all. Probably just pissed at not getting the mill. He talks like a man whose done it beforeloaded_gloves wrote:Very interesting. Lots of Herbie Hide fights ended in weird ways, ala Frankie Swindell. Makes you wonder.

Might be wrong here obviously but I got the impression Herbie was just talking shit to make himself look big really. I mean when was the time he boxed? Come to think about it, what actual involvement does he have in boxing anymore?

Its the going rate for good stuff. It basciaclly is four times stronger than the £25 stuff and twice as strong as the £50's! Funny that.Old bones Ian wrote:who pays £100????keithmoonhangover wrote:At least we know where to get some decent gear.

All he has to say is ' I knew it was THE SUN being tossers so I played along with it.
Sounds like big talk from someone no longer relevant.

Re: Herbie Hide offers to throw fight for money
Not good for boxing, However I am going to put my neck on the line (no pun intended) and say this take the drugs out and
The video has clearly been edited with what Hide says making sense in regards boxing is a business and that its not alays about the best coming out on top he says that you could get a guy to throw a fight if the price is right as its a business before anyone thinks I support this I want to say that I certainly dont however lets be real week in week out journeymen (which i also have the greatest respect for) get in to do business and I am sure that many themselves would admit (once retired) that they have held back to get paid or to avoid losing work.
This type of publicity puts further strain on the business/sport and as i said earlier seems the sun have edited an interview to suit ......as for the drugs its not a fighter so why link this with boxing ?

40 quid stuff is at least 3-1, at least. So 1 gram of 100 quid stuff mixed with 3 grams of benzicane (or equivalemt) would give you 4 40quid grams.mickey1975 wrote:Its the going rate for good stuff. Never liked Herbie Hide, not as a fighter and not the person he displayed for the media.
Like him even less now.

I`d like to get those two fake sheiks or whatever they call themselves, put them in a room naked with mincemeat lathered on their bollocks, then set a pack of hungry rottweilers on them.
Pure scum.
Pure scum.
Re: Herbie Hide offers to throw fight for money
When I see these stories now, which isn't often as I get my news online and don't choose that particular rag, I, like many people think - bastard. I'm usually talking about the 'journalist' though.forcefraser wrote:I`d like to get those two fake sheiks or whatever they call themselves, put them in a room naked with mincemeat lathered on their bollocks, then set a pack of hungry rottweilers on them.

I'd like to think, given Hides up and down persona and private life, that if that way inclined I could extract more than a nothing fight-throw story with no actual fight or proposed fight to give it any value at all from him. Jesus, Hide said more than to me on an open debate on myspace a few years ago.

Sun columnist Warren said: “It’s a sad day for Herbie Hide. He’s a disgrace and has disgraced the sport of boxing.”
He called on all boxing authorities to ban him for life, declaring: “If he’s going to cheat the public, there’s certainly no place for him in the sport'
Agreed Sir Francis of Warren

No I meant it a bit tongue in cheek. Although I do agree that ' If ' (proven) he’s going to cheat the public, there’s certainly no place for him in the sport'MachoMan09 wrote:You think a guy should be banned from the sport for life off the back of that evidence alone? A hatcheted and cobbled piece of sensationalist journalism. I thought better of you, mate. Surely if you were deciding on Hide's future you'd at least want to see the unedited footage and full context before throwing him to the wolves, wouldn't you?Final round wrote:Sun columnist Warren said: “It’s a sad day for Herbie Hide.
