The Ring have apologised to Peterson for reporting a false story.
He's still a cheat though.

Surely the boxing commissions would be more respected is they have an agreement with USADA? Like the BBBofC have with UKADA(?)?Perseus wrote:USADA has no authority over boxing in America. The local commission is the governing authority, they can and did ignore the usada. The suspension of Morales is a nice gesture but they can't back it up.Jack B wrote:The boxing 'authorities' (I use the word loosely) are completely farcical when it comes to drugs. One of the problems is that there are so many different regulatory bodies, there's no unilateral sanctions/punishment etc.
The Morales situation is even worse than Peterson. He gets caught the week of a fight. For this, he has received a 2 year ban from USADA. Why the hell, then, was he allowed to fight AFTER being caught??!?!? Crazy world. And to top it off, he will blatantly disregard his punishment and just continue fighting in Mexico.
It's this sort of nonsense that does the sport no favours.
i don't even know why most of the stuff ada tests for should be illegal for a pro boxer to take.Jack B wrote: Surely the boxing commissions would be more respected is they have an agreement with USADA? Like the BBBofC have with UKADA(?)?
