Eduardo Ray Marquez. Never beat anybody worth a shit before getting a title shot, won a minimumweight belt, lost it 36 days later to Ivan Calderon and never won another meaningful fight.

Baldomir had a good run with victories over Judah and Gatti, but I don't think he was any better then than he would've been the year before or after that really. Judah just underestimated him and did his usual late round tiring act and it costs him. Gatti overestimated his boxing ability, and underestimated Baldomir's when that fight happened.

So did I, I remember I thought Gatti was going to outbox him in that one...I couldn't have been more wrong, Baldomir fully controlled that fight.

These are all great candidates. Some of these guys, on their night, looked as good as anybody in a boxing ring.
