Kevin won't win a world title but that doesn't mean his career is a wash out; he would hit too hard for Gary who has to rely on volume and fitness, Mitchell is a spiteful hitter and a level down from world (or euro) he will still wreck people; I'd have imagined he'd have lined a decent thing up for after boxing though so will his heart be in it?

This fight is still in the schedule? Pretty good card on October 5th either way.

This fight has never been made so I cannot understand why it is on the site , as the Manager of Gary Sykes I would love to know where the site has got this information.

Gary has a 6 rounder in Leeds on the 27th September and his next fight after that will be against Stephen Smith for the British title at Super-Featherweight .

When he does eventually go up to Lightweight then the fight will have no worries to us.

"Fighting Mitchell is the far bigger fight"
"Fighting Mitchell would open more doors for him"

Fighting Mitchell would...... result in a convincing defeat!!!
lets be honest here. If Sykes has other attractive options that don't involve getting beat and/or moving weight to fight a far superior fighter, i'd take them.
especially if he has an opportunity to win the Lonsdale outright
