get my point now.
Err, yes, which is why I wrote that apology. Surely that's apparent?

Gavin has caught brook up. ? ? Get real. Gavin had a life or death with our curtis not too long ago. Barnes has talent to burn, its a decent match up.

Talent burns away without it being used; Barnes was talented and skilled but too tempramental to be a serious champion + he should not have got the decision v Jimmy Vincent so isn't really a double British Champion (the scorecard should be on the rubbish scorecards thread) - David has won 3 of his last 4 with a technical decision in the other - the combined records of his opponents are 57-87-8.

Although dissapointed to see Lynes turn it down, glad to see he aint retired - don't want him to end it on the Witter fight.

What about Craig Watson or John o Donnell?

I would strongly advise people to get tickets for this one, you could well witness something special. As someone who has a thing for redheads, you can take my word for it that spending an evening in a copper box is seldom a disappointment.
I agree, good post, its a decent match up and if Barnes brings his 'A' game it will be a decent competetive fight. Gavin is far far from invincible.

Life or death? I think we're being a tad dramatic there. And it was two years ago. A lot has happened to both fighters since then.

Agree this is a decent match up. I'd rather it was someone more widely accepted, but hey, you can't force the others to take it. Its a good fight, a lot of skill on show, I'm sure. Frankie should get the Lonsdale for keeps and then we can check everyone elses availability for the next date. Job done.

Haha, there is a difference between not having it your own way, and life or death. It was a lot closer than I'd have liked, or than it should have been, but life or death? Drama queen.

Both fighters have improved and the loss didn't hurt Curtis' career one bit.

"Both fighters" referred to Gavin and Brook, the relative trajectory of both their careers having altered somewhat in two years.

No argument from me about Curtis, he's a frigging legend.
