Accepting that this may be another stunt by Lennox, I don't think his $100m purse is the problem.

It's Wlad's purse that will be the problem. He's the defending champ, he's been champ for donkeys years.... he isn't going to accept the short end is he ? If he sees Lennox getting $100m, he is going to want the same or more. After all there's greedy buggers, very greedy buggers, insanely greedy buggers, buggers who's greed breaks all known records within the history of mankind... and then there's the Klitschko brothers.

If Lewis got $100M fixed and wlad got a large % of the ppv profit I reckon he would make more ! Love it or hate it this fight would sell in every country in the world, and ppv in the uk alone would break all records with ease !

As much as it would intrigue me, I think he should stay retired. He's been gone too long and if he comes back and fails it may well damage his legacy.
I appreciate $100M is not to be sniffed at but I really don't see the need for him to come back. He'll always have more credibility than the Klits...let's just leave it at that.

Lewis has been saying he'll comeback for £100m for years, he's just pricing himself out on purpose IMO. I hope he's one of the few legends that retired at the right time and stayed retired

he is a legend and deserves retirement. IMO he is one of the 3 greatest HWs ever and very underrated.

however he is a narcissist and likes to hear his name and people praising him. he just wants the people to talk about him he probably is still a little upset that the americans did not care for him till the holyfield fights.

I don't agree that power is the last thing to go. You only have to look at Joe Louis and Foreman's last few fights to see they went from knocking people over to having to go the distance against fighters they would have ordinarily stopped. Even Tysons punches couldnt stop fighters like Danny Williams and McBride. There is no way a 48 year old who hasn't fought for 10 years is going to be in any decent shape, regardless how hard he trains.

Who else in the heavyweight division would you be more excited about facing Wlad (Vitali excluded)?

They hype for a comeback would be tremendous and everyone would be wondering if it was possible that Lewis could roll back the years and stand up to Wlad's bullying style. Lewis could look like an old man and be stopped easily but I would tune in to find out and so would millions of others.

Of course, this says more about the sad state of todays heavyweight division than anything else. I also don't think this will ever happen and Lewis just likes keeping his name out there.

I think the hype would be more like ridicule & shock.

There'll be hordes of current & ex pros urging Lewis not to do it & Klinchko would get even more stick for signing for such a contest.

hopefully he does a better job with them than with price. he does for sure know boxing but to tell price to be more aggressive and "mean" after getting KOed in the second round was just stupid. it seems like he was just projecting his own experience and totally ignore DPs skillset and weaknesses.

he should have told him to fight in long range and hold when the opponent comes close (like he did himself a lot) instead of telling him to try to blow away TT and tire himself out in the process.

I'm not saying that he cannot become a good coach because he has a ton of experience and also is an intelligent man. but then he has to really get into the current scene and his own fighters and not just arrogantly talk his own experience from 15 years ago. he seems to have that "they are all bums today" attitude (I never heard him talking respectfully about another HW fighter) and he also did not really analyze DPs and TTs skills.

Even when you are one of the best boxers ever (and today's HW not in the best state) you cannot coach like that.

If some Russian playing Brewster's Billions will agree to throw $100M in the direction of the nigh on fifty-year-old Pugilist Specialist to box Wlad, Lennox would be a fool to turn it down, and he's no fool. At his age he could spend a tiring, risky 36 minutes climbing the stairs or get knocked spark out falling off the toilet when reaching for the bog-roll and not get paid a penny for the privilidge. For one last hurrah, a chance of making history, the spotlight of the world on him once again and an awful lot of money, why the hell not?
