Big mistake if true. He was struggling with Vitali when they fought 10 years ago. He's now 48 so he isn't going to be any fitter, faster or better than he used to be.

He did say on the 'Gloves are off HW Special' that he'd had a lot of offers but wanted 50 million to come back.

Surely, no one would guarantee him 50 million - there is no opponent in HW boxing to warrant it.

I can think of a hundred million reasons why it's anything but a mistake. If some Russian playing Brewster's Billions will agree to throw $100M in the direction of the nigh on fifty-year-old Pugilist Specialist to box Wlad, Lennox would be a fool to turn it down, and he's no fool. At his age he could spend a tiring, risky 36 minutes climbing the stairs or get knocked spark out falling off the toilet when reaching for the bog-roll and not get paid a penny for the privilidge. For one last hurrah, a chance of making history, the spotlight of the world on him once again and an awful lot of money, why the hell not?

When a boxing fan holding billions of dollars worth of easy come easy go roubles gets thrown an "Only if you can afford it" challenge, don't rule anything out.

Tyson Fury is an opponent if he beats Haye and there is obviously an issue between Lewis and Fury.

There is no issue, Fury just wants to try and make a fight with Lewis for the money. Fury is a joke. Look how he was around the sky table with Lewis, all nice as pie.

Forget USD 100 mill.

He`d do it for USD 30 mill if it was offered and who would blame him.

I`d fight any man born from his mother or any man born from an arsehole (Joyce) for USD 1 million. In fact I reckon I would do it for USD 200,000.

Given that I`m underated as a fighter, I might just pull off a win. With my power behind it, any left hook catching some punk flush and it`s good night sweet Gloria. I`m not bragging, but I`m pretty fecking hard.

Lewis has been saying he'll comeback for £100m for years, he's just pricing himself out on purpose IMO. I hope he's one of the few legends that retired at the right time and stayed retired

Who else in the heavyweight division would you be more excited about facing Wlad (Vitali excluded)?

They hype for a comeback would be tremendous and everyone would be wondering if it was possible that Lewis could roll back the years and stand up to Wlad's bullying style. Lewis could look like an old man and be stopped easily but I would tune in to find out and so would millions of others.

Of course, this says more about the sad state of todays heavyweight division than anything else. I also don't think this will ever happen and Lewis just likes keeping his name out there.

lewis hasn't blown his money like so many others ,he doesn't need 30m to get beat up and knocked out by wladimir , vitali was beating lennox 10 years ago before the cut stopped the fight imagine what 10 years of lazzin around has done to his body ... i hope this doesn't happen and i'm sure it won't ,lennox liked being involved with the david price camp and he's got the bug back but it doesn't mean he could fight at the top .

It doesn't excite me much, Lewis clearly enjoys his life out of the ring and it would be about money only, I can't see how he'd compete with Wlad at all.

To be honest I'm more excited by the lower weights than watching some old-man heavyweight come back for a bit of dough and get beat up.

Hmm, thinking about this, I don't think it's as mental as it sounds.

Wlad is definitely able to be hurt, and technically Lewis is streets ahead of anyone else in the division right now, and no way would Wlad be able to just win with the jab, Lewis won't have lost his power, it's the last thing to go, and he's a beast of a man, and very very strong in the clinches.

Vitali is creaking a lot at the seams, and has lost a lot of his power now - and his output is slowing, the difficulty for Lewis would be that he still has an iron chin, and would probably have enough workrate to outland Lewis.

I actually think Lewis could pull of a win against Wlad, though he might just be too sluggish reflex wise and get potshotted by the jab - he'd only need to land one big right cross though, and he'd have Wlad in a world of trouble.

If Lewis trains properly, and is realistic about it, I don't see why he can't do it. Foreman did it, and Lewis is just as big, strong, and better technically than foreman.

He's 48. Lazing about at over 300 pounds for years. 6 months training isn't going to help that much. Speed atrophies if you don't train consistently in middle age. Foreman at least had umpteen comeback fights before any sort of title challenge.

Lewis is probably just moving the goalposts in light of the $23,000,000 purse the other week. Knowing that there are rich billionaires out there - the idea of one of them willing to pay him $50,000,000 to put on a mega fight that he doesn't really want to take part in, has become a remote possibility.

I think Lewis doesn't want to fight Wlad, and doesn't want to look a chicken by refusing the 50 million that he probably just stated to get people off his back.

By asking for 100 million now, he manages to remove any possibility of his word/honour being questioned, doesn't get knocked out for a third time, keeps his legacy, and raises his profile in the media again (slightly) - at a time when he's possibly looking to get back into boxing as a trainer/manager.

Instead of messing around he could just say that he's happy retired and happy with his legacy, that he's got enough money to be happy and that he's got plans for the rest of his life.

When he was in the hamburg studio for the haye/wlad fight I'm sure Dave Clark asked the question and the reply was 40 million ! Whether that was pounds or dollars no one knows, but I think he means it

Accepting that this may be another stunt by Lennox, I don't think his $100m purse is the problem.

It's Wlad's purse that will be the problem. He's the defending champ, he's been champ for donkeys years.... he isn't going to accept the short end is he ? If he sees Lennox getting $100m, he is going to want the same or more. After all there's greedy buggers, very greedy buggers, insanely greedy buggers, buggers who's greed breaks all known records within the history of mankind... and then there's the Klitschko brothers.
