Time will tell I guess. It is a long haul back for him now to win people's confidence and trust back.

Just read on facebook ,, He's done his 8 months ,, he's wanting to get on top again ,, he's saying its not his fault he assualted someone , they attempted to lay a hand on him ,, he's obviously still a up himself cocky bully , who has a chip on his shoulder .

Still at least one thing if past performance is to go by ,, his management will still look for stiffs to bowl over , and he will get his cumuppence when he steps up a grade to a 50-50 fight ,, ,,, But then it still won't be his fault , it will be that white managements fault , cos they steered him wrong cos he's aboriginal

Get fucked he's played the poor little me racist card on more than one occasion ,, he broke the rules at tyhe olympics wearing a political shirt , but heh , i'm aborigial and proud of my race so its ok .. Did'nt see any pommy r rusian or other guys / women born overseas and representing Australia sprouting the same shit .. I really don't think these two lads are attacking the Aborigional culture or trying to be racist is insensitive to prior unjust mistreatment towards our indigenous people, I think what they're getting at is the D.Hooper seems to always play the race card when he stuffs up instead of simply taking ownership of his actions. I do agree that the Aborigional flag at the games thing is a non issue, Hoops wasn't the first to do it and won't be the last (hopefully), I was immensely proud to be an Aussie when Cathy Freeman carried the Aborigional flag on a lap of honour at the '94 games!
If you want to drag racism into this thread then one could quite successfully argue that D.Hooper has himself displayed racism in his actions then claiming that he is being victimised due to his heritage. I wouldn't want to go down that path as I'm quite aware of how red necked Queensland is and all we really have got to go on is what has been portrayed in the media.
