I really don't see the problem with this?
He is matching prospects against each other in good fights as opposed to building records of prospect v journeyman. I'm not saying there isn't a place for journeymen but this kind of thing evenly matched fights between ticket sellers is what makes good shows. He is building a brand not just a fighter. People know when they go to a Hellraiser show they get action and excitement.
If he needs special permission to match people in his stable it's further mires the sport in bureaucracy that stops good fights happening at any level.

Is it not conflict of interest if he manages both fighters?
Therefor surely they don't have the fighters interests at the forefront
Just a thought as I'm sure it's in the handbook or was a good few years ago

Manages or promotes what's the difference ?
Why find opponents, when he has fighters sighned at the weight?? No brainer.
I personally would be more attracted to a helleaiser promotion if the matchmaking is cut throat! It's appealing & exciting & makes us appreciate how hard the domestic level can be & give big credit to Lonsdale holders which I think is down trodden

25%??? someone was feeling generous lol, I think the promoter should print the purses in the show programmes like they were duty bound to do back in the day, I have paid managers in the past more than 50% of the purse!

No no. Your missing the point, most shows its every fight on the bill.including the title fight at the top.ahmet Patterson v gill. Which was only going 1 way.brutal beating to gill. Which finished his career.oh no. 1 more fight against floyd Moore. Who manages him by the way. Point is that you need to ask the board for matching stablemates. Every fight on every card is pushing it a bit, no? And it's not prospect v prospect. Prospect journeyman nearly always.brutal way to nick 25 % every fight. No? Told to move floyd about I avoided knocking him out anytime past end of the second due to this

Floyd Moore is certainly a different fighter now, and what a ticket seller. I went to the Gill/Moore fight in Fareham and honestly thought Phil Gill would beat him, beating Taylor for the southern area title proved how much Moore has improved.
It's great for british small hall boxing if promoters start pitting fighters with winning records against each other. I don't like how Micky Helliett stages dinner shows though, that's more of a personal gripe for me.

I'd buy you a pint mate, i've seen you box over the years and you come across very well on here, most boxers do, I guess that's what keeps us loving this sport.

Quick question how many of your fights do you think you could have won even with short notice Johnny?

There's been a few ive had to just move about.others, if you went in and got in the mood? Loads. Then again.i boxed loads of top fighters and when you get an easier one.youre just happy getting an easy nights work.to be fair, most were just too young, sharp , fit and well schooled. You'd be happy to have an easy one if your boxing a top prospect shortly after

Speaking from experience, it will not end with one, and please take your bank card. Your only saving grace would be that Frank and Mickey (especially) don't tag along lmao.
I've some brilliant nights talking boxing (then normally shite) and a few beers, with Johnny and Mickey. You'd have a great laugh and still have more to talk about at breakfast.
As for the topic, the manager must seek permission from the board to put 2 of his fights in together. That's all the rules say, there's nothing on how the board decided if this is ok, and or if the cuts are reduced etc. It is a bit sneaky in my eyes, but I'd bet the purses are minimal.

So Mickey helliot has a show tonight, left hand side of the card, all managed by Mickey, I'll give a hundred to any man that can predict a winner from the right hand side, ( of which he also manages) not a mention on here of the show.,

Would be made easier if there was a choice to be made;), no one knows who the bill is, home or away, and worse is no one In the audience gives a feck either!!!

Go on then, I reckon Kristian Laight will sneak a narrow points win over Whyatt

Referee Robert Williams controversially scores 38-39 for Laight - BoxRec News didn't agree, and thought Whyatt was slow to start but deserved it 40-37.

Kind of nice to see a close one go the other way, (Obviously not for Wyatt and his fans's). I'm sure there'll be alot more that don't.
