Credit to Joshua, he took the guy out like he was fluff in his belly button.

Let's appreciate we have a heavyweight talent coming through and walking his apprenticeship so far.

I love the fact that he has serious power,his stoppages never seem to be "big" shots,i got a bit worried when i seen Avila doing that strange thing with his head/ear after going down

Joshua is not ready for sprott yet, needs more time.

He has the ability to beat any British heavy, needs a bit of seasoning though.

Unless Haye comes back, there isn't a particularly special heavyweight in Britain right now though, bar Joshua of course.

I think he would have a genuine shot against them, which is more than I should feel about a 5 fight novice.

Alex Arthur was blowing smoke. We've no idea how good Joshua is and fighting cans won't help us to know either.

Is AAA well known flop 'Average Alex Arthur'?

I think Price, Chisora, Fury, Haye would be favourite against Joshua at this stage. We don't know yet how he reacts to a shot and whilst he looks very good, bowling over 5 no hopers does not really provide enough evidence

I'm not usually one for premature hype but this guy is gonna be undisputed champ and rid the division of these disgraceful lumps of shit posing as heavyweights. Ain't no boy touch this mon!

It's so hard to tell what Joshua is like at this stage. David Price was bowling everyone over similar to this.

So far so good Joshua seems to throw a lot more punches than price. I thought Price was the real deal so I don't think I can say much on this topic.

How would we compare Ogogo's opponents with Joshua, and why the difference in quality??

Alex Arthur was a flop?
Okay I think he has no sort of claim to any kind of world title but he was hardly a flop

Anyway, Joshua looks great, if he isn't out again until April then hopefully we'll have a decent step up in opposition

Agreed, he had a very good career; especially at superfeatherweight. A solid contender at 130lbs and easily the best in Europe at the time. No mean feat.

Been here before. Joshua in his third amateur fight against a more seasoned competitor ( MMA and Kick boxing wasn't it? ) lost. So?
A hell of a lot has changed since then, including Joshua going on to record wins as an amateur against much better campaigners than Whyte.

Having said that, I'm looking forward to Whyte returning. Likeable fella.

They were both green then and Whyte is only a year older than Joshua.

The difference between the Lewis/Bowe comparisons is that Joshua was put down by Whyte slapped about and was lucky to survive the fight.

What is more worrying about Joshua was that he was stopped a year before the Olympics by Mihai Nistor.

On the plus side Joshua comes across very well has incredible athleticism and is great for the Heavyweight scene and I look forward to some great domestic match ups in the future.

'london', if I were Whyte (or I had his ear) I'd resist the temptation to chase Joshua. It will always look desperate and the opportunity may never come. I heard good reports out of the Klitschko camp and there's no denying Dillian is talented and good to watch, so I'm looking forward to seeing him in action again. When he does return, I think he should focus on forging his own path, and leave Joshua to do the same. If those paths one day cross, great. If they don't, they don't.

"Aden" I agree Dillian Whyte doesn't need to chase Joshua he has already beaten him if I was Joshua I would go looking for Whyte to avenge such a comprehensive defeat.

I think it was 8-0 with seven stoppages with Joshua being the only one to finish.
