The fight contract for the Paulie fight stipulated that Porter had to face Brook on or before 19/7. These are the IBF rules. They told Porter he could not fight Paulie without that stipulation. If Porter doesn't fight Brook he'll get stripped end of exactly the same as McDonnell did.
The IBF are terrified of any rule breakages since they were investigated by the FBI.
They were accused of taking payments to get fighters a ranking.
All this Brook will duck him and Porter looking elsewhere is pure speculation.

Because he's a nobody. Porters on the way up, he's the hot ticket in town right now, fighting a relative nobody next is unlikely to be high on his list of available options. Listen to Porters post fight interviews, names are getting thrown around everywhere, not even a whisper of the special one anywhere to be heard.

It's not because he's scared of fighting him though. It's purely because there's nothing really to gain from that fight.

Of course Porter does not want to fight Brook, why would he? Brook is an absolute nobody in the usa, hes more famous for the fights he pulled out of than any opponent he has actually fought over stateside. As for porter, I am sure he wants to fight one the other top showtime fighters such as Garcia (moving up a weight after next fight), Broner, Thurman, Madaina and of course Mayweather. Brook has zero appeal but he has to fight him. As for the fight itself, I feel hearns piss poor matching making will catch up with him. No one Brook has fought is anywhere near the class of Porter and I just don't see how Brook pulls this off.

I didn't say he was scared to, I said he doesn't want to. As has been said, it's a major inconvenience for him.

Kevin Mitchell is a horrible boxing journalist. I have no idea why some people think of him so highly. His work is some of the most biased and nonsensical I've come across from a supposedly reputable source.

The problem all started from Hearn not going to purse bids with Alexander in Jan 2013, if he would've and backed his man he'd have forced Alexander to come here or vacate, Alexander would've probably vacated and Brook would be a world champion by now.

Now, we have a situation where Brook is mandatory and if a deal can't be a agreed, it will go to purse bids, will Hearn back his man?

He's already said the fight is likely to be in america if Porter wins pretty much so im not convinced he will. You never know though.
