Rigo is a different beast than Gamboa. Gamboa had been regressing for couple years. Seemed like he was relying to much on Athletic Ability. Rigo seems much smarter and is a way more technically sound fighter
But Rigo has been hurt on a few occasions and has showed some flaws in defense at times like Gamboa too but I agree he is much smarter but I don't know how long he can do it, he isn't the youngest guy.

While Rigondeaux has been caught, his never left himself open to the same extent as Gamboa. Apart from both being Cuban there isn't a great deal that matches up.

With his style n smarts I say Rigo has at least a few years left in the tank. He n Gamboa are totally different type boxers i agree

Does this mean that Quillin is getting 70% of 1.9 mil ? I doubt he got that much in his previous 5 fights combined.

A few points:

1) I'm glad to see more purse bids at higher numbers. That should increase the number of fights on TV due to the fact that TV $ is what really drives fights.

2) Peter Quillin is an unmitigated pussy until he fights GGG.

3) JZ, just like anybody else associated with New York or possessing an Empire State of Mind, is inferior to anybody from Philadelphia. Especially in boxing.

Quillin still hasn't signed the contract for his by far best payday. Seems like he has no confidence he could win that fight.

Maybe he's occupied because his wife just had their baby.

Uhhh, that would make me want to sign the contract a little quicker.
