Amir Khan vs. Robert Guerrero – December 6th on Showtime?
Re: Amir Khan vs. Robert Guerrero – December 6th on Showtime?
Notice how people say Khan's chin won't be a problem, because Floyd isn't a power puncher, yet gloss over Khan's other problems.
Khan's problems don't end with his chin. His other, bigger, problems are his tendency to make amateur mistakes and his inability to adapt, both of which would be his downfall against Floyd.
The truth is, Khan isn't on Floyd's level.

your last 11 posts or so are just copy and paste drops into threads thatzxhoopaem wrote:THERE IS A NEW , UP AND COMING BOXING MOVEMENT AND WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
have nothing at all to do with what you're promoting.
you get that if we all just start doing that this board
would be a giant wall of graffitti, right?
maybe pay to be an advertiser on the site, or set up a thread of your own and
try to get people to talk about it, instead of butting into conversations like that.
i was surprised when jimmy paul lost to greg haugen, but haugen gave lots of
top boxers fits with his meat and potatoes basic workman style after that.
hopefully jimmy paul is successful but this spamming may do more harm the help

Match up is good.
Question is will Robert Guerrero take the fight seriously.
He's made his money already and secured for his family what he needed to do and did it the right way, good on him he's a proper solider.
Amir Khan has been entertaining in the past, although a recent reputation of a runner is unjust yet understandable on his part.
Crossroads fight for Amir.

If I was a betting man, I would bet that Khan does not take on Guerrero. Even though Guerrero could be easily outboxed by Khan, and Khan is quicker, he will not take the fight. I think he is afraid of Ghosts, lol. He will probably take an easier foe like Lopez, and he will stay away from Alexander, Guerrero, Porter, Thurman. IMO

i thought Robert Guerrero gave Floyd one of his better fights. think he will beat khan.
Re: Amir Khan vs. Robert Guerrero – December 6th on Showtime?
I saw on boxrec this fight is tentatively scheduled to happen in January. I won't hold my breath until then, because I doubt if Khan will follow through with it.

Because people generally hate Floyd this hasn't been discussed much. However, I do see more rounds going to other way that Floyd clearly won.fergusg wrote:Something doesn’t seem quite right with the official judges’ scorecards recently, which means it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that Khan somehow scores an upset, because the judges may decide to break Floyd’s unbteaten record!
I think the best way to rig a fight is to only pay off one judge. That way, you avoid a blatantly horrible decision if one fighter dominates, but you reduce the number of judges you have convince by one.
I think Floyd may lose soon, but it'll be a fight that he does win, but the huge cloud of bias against him will try to make the loss seem legit.
For example, Maidana DID NOT win more than four rounds in their first fight. But if Maidana got the decision, many boxing fans would have acted like it was a good decision.
It's sad that Floyd is such a jerk that people have developed such an illogical hate towards him. It's even more sad that people can't develop this kind of hate for the people who actually affect their lives.

Ok folks, ran into Bob Santos (Member of team Guerrero) Saturday, Khan-Guerrero isn't happening December 6.

Like I said earlier - Boxrec had Khan vs Guerrero scheduled for January of 2015, but I can't find it now. Like I also said before, Khan won't take the fight. Too risky even though Guerrero seems tailor-made for him.

Santos said Guerrero wanted the fight but Khan wasn't into it. Bare in mind of course Santos is with Guerrero.Evander wrote:WhyEl Raincoat wrote:Ok folks, ran into Bob Santos (Member of team Guerrero) Saturday, Khan-Guerrero isn't happening December 6.

I'm not sure what Khan sees in Guerrero that makes him not want to fight him? According to team Guerrero, this would make the third time Khan has said no to the fight. Guerrero is a high volume fighter, but doesn't possess KO power that Khan seems to shy away from.
Just watch, Khan will be a dumb arse again and stay idle with hopes of landing a Floyd fight.

ive heard Peterson rematch for khan in december

Guerrero whilst not being a puncher per se still hits hard enough to cause Khan problems I think.Badhusker wrote:I'm not sure what Khan sees in Guerrero that makes him not want to fight him? So is Peterson fighting at welterweight now? If not then dont really understand it except that I think it's a low risk fight for Khan. Peterson-Garcia would be ok I think.fergusg wrote:Golden Boy Promotions twitter feed has just asked the following question:sweetscience wrote:ive heard Peterson rematch for khan in december

Re: Amir Khan vs. Robert Guerrero – December 6th on Showtime?
Brook or Thurman would have been my prefered choice for Amir, but this as good a fight as any i suppose.
I've joined most people in giving Khan stick for recent opponents and trying to wait out for the Floyd fight instead of earning the big fights
but this one is a legitimate test and a very losable fight for Khan.
I fancy Khan to stay on his feet and win this by a reasonable points decision but it is certainly a risky bout.

Which legitimate test are you talking about? As far as I know it is all just speculation. Apparently between Joseito Lopez, Guerrero, and Peterson?davie wrote:Brook or Thurman would have been my prefered choice for Amir, but this as good a fight as any i suppose.

I hope Khan is ready to have his toughness tested because Guerrero is a tough American fighter.

Is Khan even fighting in December anymore?
Re: Amir Khan vs. Robert Guerrero – December 6th on Showtime?
IF Khan fights Peterson, he will still only have ONE legit win at welterweight. So much for establishing yourself at a weight before getting the fight many more deserving fighters want. Khan is such a phony, and a big mouth should not get you a fight more than a credible resume.
He has speed, yes. Does anyone think one great attribute will beat someone so much more skilled in all of the other categories? It is a joke of a fight if it happens, and I will thoroughly trash and dis Floyd if he makes it against that pretender. Khan has not done crap for about 3 years now, and even a couple of those wins when he went 3-2 were questionable.
