JamieM wrote:So realistically your saying ronnie should do lightweight as yo want the scottish title fight with him Nd ally, speak to Tommy and ask?? Ronnie would not worry about ally, said he was good in sparring to me but also stated he was very crap and had one of those days and doesn't judge it by sparring, I never did understand where people say o he'd stop him about a fighter who's never been stopped or even down before, I'm guessing you have some inside knowledge here ha, fair enough backing youran same as we do, contact Tommy and ask for the fight,
Either his team will want it or not, I'm sure Davie will be on here soon enough, he was right on another thread when you were plotting for it ha
Jamie I'm not saying that at all, you Dundee boys straight on the defensive lol, but I do believe Ronnie would be better suited at LW coz he's got the size no problem I think getting the last few pounds off is affecting his performances, watching the fight with Evans Ronnie and be honest didn't look like a beast of a puncher? Is it because of those extra pounds it may well be, otherwise what is the reason? Maybe he simply doesn't punch has hard at a slightly higher level, yet I think he may at a more natural weight, just a thought jamie, that doesn't mean I want all my fighters fighting Dundee boys ok lol

Billy Billy Billy!!!!
Why didn't you just admit the last time that you were looking to get Ronnie and Ally on !!! Hahaha You work with Ally everyday but if you really want to put him in with Ronnie on the back of a couple of rounds sparring then I think you have misjudged the sparring!!
Ronnie went down to your gym that day to spar his last couple of rounds against Jon Slowey who was a southpaw just like Craig Evans. After Jon had done his rounds you asked if Ronnie would do some with Ally, Ronnie agreed because he was in the gym already but he wasn't really interested in sparring with Ally because he wasn't southpaw. They did a few rounds, Ally was fast but very raw and as seen in threads about Ricky Burns or any other fighter you train you back them to the hilt with a blind passion and no one can tell you they aren't anything other than the best. But I think if you were to look back on the sparring you could see that Ronnie wasn't putting much into the rounds.
Ronnie does Super Feather easily and defo doesn't lose strength making the weight, this seems to be something you are now mentioning because you are looking for a fight for Ally!! You managing or just coaching Ally? Maybe you could speak to either Tommy for Ronnie or Jordy and give them an offer that couldn't be refused for them to fight Ally because at the end of the day in Pro boxing money talks!! If the money was right then I'm sure Ronnie could be tempted to a catchweight? (That is only my opinion though and only Ronnie could tell you for defo)
You are a good coach mate but you should maybe just stick to that and let others worry about getting your boxers the breaks they need, it isn't easy to manage a fighter to the top unless you have some top class contact that are willing to help get you the chances.
On the actual thread, I wish Davie the best on his future and just hope he can get his head down and get some fights from Carl so he can kickstart his pro career!! And I'm sure that he could defo get on bills in Scotland if he can sell his wages in tickets because I'm sure almost all of the Scottish promoters work with Carl.

Haha Davie said it straight away on other thread how he took it, and now you say ally would stop him at lightweight, you know ronnie take that fight, he's foight a better lightweight in craig evans , maybe your right billy but I'm Davie will disagree ha, have you seen the evans fight I take it? I only seen last 2 rounds ronnie won, if you have can you copy for us? Davie be good if some of your fighters would fight dundee ones ha, makes the domestic scene intersting and scottish titles mean something, any news on mic roberts billy? Not heard anythingg regarding fights for him,

Billy did you just say stop Ronnie. You really do talk a lot of nonsense at times. On the thread where Davie asked you about Ally fighting Ronnie you said he wasn't ready for him now he is. Think maybe your saying this because you know the fight will never happen?? Anyway this topic is about Davie Drummond not anyone else start amother topic if you want for Ally Black

A good move to a promoter that promotes boxing in several different areas in the uk, without TV money (this is somwhat rare)
Good luck to them both!

Billy i dont think you could compare your Novice fighter with Clark at the moment,Ronnie is boxing championship rounds while Black has never done more than 4x3s poor statement for someone of your standards, you could be be on the wind up here

Ally would beat Ronnie he punches far to hard for a SFW as he proved in there spar, can't accept it was a poor day on Ronnie behalf 10 days before a fight you should be buzzing.
After Ally landed with his right hand in the first round, it became a very one sided spar, for anyone to say otherwise would be so so wrong, remember there was a few others in the gym who have the same opinion of there spar
You can box championship rounds without becoming a champion, that's why it's called championship rounds the champions dig deep and win those rounds to win there fights

Had he no just done round with slowey? Billy stop talking and make fight happen then, will be no problem with ronnie taking it, Alex has ronnie details, but I imagine same outcome will come from Alex with telling you to belt up and stop being stupid, I asked ronnie and he laughed, he said he did well against him with little effort, and hopes you do judge on that sparring session like you have done, as Davie said get the money sorted and a promotion and make it happen, if not stop opening your mouth on sparring garbage,

Billy your playing a game to try and use Ronnie's name to get Ally's name forward. You let yourself down all the time with your big mouth. If your really wanted this fight it would be made so less talking and more walking Billy boy. Truth is Ally is no where near ready to go near Ronnie without a pair of pillows on his hands. Should of got Ronnie straight in with Ricky after their spar he would of been world champion by now

Fairplay in supporting your boxer Billy as which David and Jamie are doing, but not too long ago you wouldnt have put Ronnie & Ally in the same sentence.

These Scottish threads are a blast
I'm sure I remember that there was much noise about how Ronnie bested Burns in sparring a short while ago; maybe Billy is evening up the score? Sparring tales were the order of the day back then, were they not?

Mate we just piss about, davie mcAllister will say the same, before he met us proberly thought we were bell ends but in truth we wind Ronald up more than anyone, soon as billy wrote he's been slated that much he wants to fight ally black ha, we also like to wind Davie up and notorious for annoying Tommy, jeez we even wind up the mc's at shows, but billy is 100% serious, he's away with the Fairys and is gone beyond help, he said to me Ricky's hands are alongside khans, I stated laughing and was like no there not:p

Good move for Drummond, the scottish boxing scene is dead so a move to an English manager/promoter is the only way to go.
Think we should have a "Ronnie Clark" sub forum so all the crap that get talked out him get left in there so the adults can have conversations in the british forum.

Not much happening in Scotland at the moment & dont think hearn will do a show up here, dont think a Limond defence would sell out a big enough venue, fair enough Davie for going down the Greaves route if your looking for the money

I pissed myself when they said that! if Ronnie hit Ricky 5 times in 8 rounds I missed 3 of them
