I'm sure Alvarez will get his rematch before Floyd hangs the gloves up
So Manny can fight Marquez 4 times and nothing is stated, he can fight Bradley twice and nothing is said SRL fought Hearns how many times?? La Motta fought SRR how many times?? 6?
Wow the misplaced Hate is staggering on this forum. The Double Standard is always in effect towards Floyd.
I know you're an extremely unintelligent person Brut, but surely even you can see that your examples aren't exactly matching up with the bolded statement...

I just don't see a rematch happening. I've been wrong before and will be wrong again.

I also prefer Canelo-Kirkland. I think it would be more entertaining and I haven't seen them fight before.

BS, it isn't as simple as you are making it sound. HBO and Showtime hasn't reached an agreement yet so there's no way that even if Mayweather wanted it to happen that he could make those networks agree.
You always write stupid sh*t to somehow try and justify your idiotic belief that Floyd is scared of Manny.
That had nothing to do with my "belief" (one that is supported by empirical evidence) that Floyd is scared. That's a reasonable assumption to make. Pacquiao has publicly stated they agreed to the demands, all of them by Floyd's camp.
It is then reasonable to assume that if the network issue is resolved, Floyd is expected to sign off on the contract and not make any more stipulations or demands that would delay the confirmation of the fight.

The problem is the fans. They complain and complain about Floyd's fights but on ppv night most of them end up buying his fights. So as a result Floyd does what he wants and not necessarily what the fans want. But we like suckers still buy his ppv fights.
You watch if Floyd fights Cotto they will sell more than 1 million ppv buys.
Already talking to people and some are saying this:
1. Well cotto vs Floyd was not close but if was competitive.
2. We need to see if Roach can make a difference in Cotto's corner.
3. We need to find out if Cotto win over Sergio was a fluke or legit.
And blah, blah, blah....
So I know for a fact that many people will buy his ppv no matter who he fights.
When people get serious about boycotting garbage ppv fights then the fighters will take the fans seriously. Until then we are stuck with this kind of nonsense.

Mayweather already beat Cotto. Why doesn't Mayweather take a risk and fight GGG instead. That would sell over a million too. Why Not?

Floyd will choose to fight for less risk because his ppv numbers are not going to suffer. We the fans are to blame. Again if people start boycotting these type of fights he will be forced to give us what we want. He will make 30-40 million no matter who he fights. The blame is on us.

With 2 fights on a contract that guarantee 32 million plus why would he care?
The time he will care is if he decides to fight next year without that guaranteed contract.

I would rather see Floyd fight Khan or Brook. Beating Cotto again means nothing other than getting the paper 160 belt.
I can see him, at 38, not wanting to take any huge risks, but a Cotto fight won't sell anywhere near what the first one did.
The more I think about it, Floyd should just swallow some pride and fight Manny for less than he wants, and call Arum's bluff. He can make more on two fights with Manny than he could fighting 3 or 4 more times....and, it would do a lot more for his legacy.

If they fight and right now that is a big IF. I do not see a rematch unless Floyd loses.
No way will Mayweather do this twice if he wins.

The thing is, if Mayweather cruises to a win, and if Manny had some good moments (which I think he would) a rematch in Floyd's eyes would still be huge. Pac fans won't accept Manny losing to Floyd, and would pay more to see a rematch. I honestly think they are that dumb or loyal....even if Floyd dominates. They will accuse him of being juiced like they did JMM.

I think both sides. Pac and Floyd have too many fans that are just insane and follow blindly.

Why do you think? Mayweather is promoting himself as the best ever and protecting his "o". He won't fight anyone who has a realistic chance of beating him. He won;t fight Pacquiao, he won;t fight Khan and he sure as hell won't fight Golovkin.
The only way he'll fight any of them is if he's pretty sure in his mind that they are shot fighters.
