Brook will be far too mobile, explosive, strong, fast and powerful for Gavin who is barely european level and who doesnt have the punch or strength to impose himself on Brook.
Yep. That's the way I see it too.

This won't be competitive for even a single second unless Brook has not trained properly. If he has, I see an early blowout in rounds 1-3.
Gavin has nothing to upset Brook.

Brook will stop Gavin late into the fight. It won't go the distance as Gavin will get taken apart round by round. It will only be his heart that keeps him going in the fight IMO

The upcoming fight next month is coming way too soon for Frankie. I think he's a very likeable kid and he could go on to make a lot of money and have a relatively successful career. The trouble is, I wouldn't rank Frankie in the top 10 of the division...
Why? He hasn't beaten anyone even close to the top 10. Looking at his most recent victories -
Bradley Skeete (ranked 60th)
Bogdan Mitric (ranked 444th) - doesn't even bare thinking about.
Additionally his loss to Leonard Bundu (ranked 17th) could indicate that Frankie has found the limits of his performance level.
If I were Hearn, I would not have put Frankie in to this position, he's swimming in the deep end much too quickly....
Personally, I think if Frankie were to get experience fighting (let's say) three of the better European fighters, it could really bring him on a lot more as a fighter and truly testing him...
They should be looking at the likes of Avanesyan, Senchenko and Roman Belaev.

Why is he stronger and harder hitting?
He's a bit upright...robotic....has a tendency to go head hunting and neglects the body.
Ask Denton Vassell about Frankies power....Gavin was superb that night.
If Gavin turns up wanting it then I stand by my opinion that Kell could be in a world of poo.
Look at the evidence. Brook has stopped 15 of his last 19, dropped Hatton, and hurt Jones multiple times in the first half of their initial fight before stopping him in the rematch. He also stopped solid EBU-level fighters like Senchenko, Dan, and Jackiewicz, blowing away the first two. At British level, where Frankie has consistently won decisions, Brook was consistently stopping opponents early, and considering all this Brook has clearly shown me that his punches are more damaging than Frankie's. While physical strength may be harder to document I think Brook's shown that he's not easy to push around, which Frankie seemed to be against Bundu.
And what about Vassell? He took plenty of shots and never went down or showed signs of being seriously buzzed against Frankie, but the same cant be said of his experiences with Eggington or Plotnykov.
That's a good post, crusader

I think we have seen the best of Brook but not the best of Gavin, so it will be closer than most imagine it will be. We will see?

Its certainly sink or swim time, if Frankie can pull it off it'd be quite a shock and a life changing result for him.

Yes he's obviously talented enough, for me he has just seemed to do what he has needed to do so far, but now is the time to take that big step up! I wouldn't be surprised if he can.

This is a total mis match,,
i cant understand how some people think that Frankie has a realistic chance in this fight
Kell is on a different level to frankie and sport is all about levels..
also i would pay for Brook v Rios no problem
i think it would be a very good fight

Frankie is in with a hell of a shot to beat Kell Brook in my honest opinion.
Frankie has a solid chin...awkward style ....very good defensively....and underrated power.
His boxing at times can be beautiful and yes admittedly it can also be very negative and quite boring.
The main reasons I think he has a shot at beating Kell is his quite simple....He has far superior boxing skills and I think he will make Kell look silly at times.
I don't understand all the Kell is massive for the weight stuff and even if he is he hardly bangs like kovalev does he?
Would Kell have dealt with Bundu much better?....I'm not sure...especially after his life or death struggle with Carson Jones and he didn't exactly light up Shawn Porter did he?
I've got a major feeling a lot of people are going to get one hell of a shock!?
Because he hasn't beaten anyone of note, the one he did was very close and could have gone either way,got beaten by an old euro level fighter, appears to be out of his weight class and shows a real lack of punch power and strength.

Guess I'm pretty much on my own here lol.
To be fair I had had a few strongbows and made my case in a bit of a bullish way haha.
I still think Gavin will beat Kell but some very valid points have been raised and fair play to that.
let's just hope for a cracking fight and the best lad wins on the night.

I think it will be a good fight actually, mainly because of Brook though who always shines and the rare occasions he has been in trouble he still goes for it,Gavin just hasn't got enough tools to win though I don't think but he too goes for it when he's in trouble,he was brave against Bundu and still nicked it IMO
I think Brook will put on a masterclass before stopping Gavin in about 8

I just can't work out whether this is a competitive fight or an underperforming, ageing Gavin is being served-up as easy meat for Kell.
I am inclined to think that Gavin is now viewed as very beatable and a good way for Kell to stay active and earn....and that's why he is there.
But Frankie does has real talent and if his mindset, tactics and body come together on the same night...it could be a trip to Upsetville. I don't think he's ever managed to put all three of these elements together on one night and against lesser opposition than Kell yet...buf if he does, this fight might suddenly get interesting.

It's good to have a different belief and to be confident enough to put it out there for scrutiny (even if it was down to the bow)
You'll be a legend if he does beat Brook. Unfrotunately, I side with the others who think their current form is a bite different from each other.
On one hand, we have a huge welter who has just won the world title in America against a strong and deserving champion - whereas Gavin has been gutsy but ultimately outgunned by a Bundu, who was routed in America by a guy around the Porter / Brook level in Keith Thurman.

Sober as a judge tonight.....still think Frankie can box Kells ears off.
Don't think I've seen Kell move his head in a long time and when was the last time he threw a bodyshot! ?
Someone please explain this huge welterweight stigma that the British fans are loving?....its getting a bit ridiculous

I'd like some of what you're smoking. You can't 'box someone's ears off' if you don't throw any punches. Gavin just postures on the back foot, feints a bit and throws a few slaps a round. That's all he does, and that's all he ever did.

I think Kell absolutely mullers Gavin. I thought Skeete beat Gavin and if Brook catches Gavin with the sort of right hands Skeete often landed with, it won't go six.

Deepest division in boxing and Brook fights Gavin, the guy no one cares about, is interested in, is aware nor really respects having just fought another guy no one cares about nor is interested in or even knows. At least in that case he was taking care of the mandatory which should have freed him up for any of the plethora of other contenders out there
Way to be the other champion to May and Pac

This could ruin Gavin, Brook is worlds apart. Gavin fights 2 divisions above the one he should be fighting in if he applied himself and worked hard. gavins career is littered with weight making issues pro and am and sub par performances... mainly pro.
Brook TKO 4
