Not watched it but Considine is a legitimate boxing fan so at least adds some credibility to the production.

I personally like Moore, Smith, McCrory and Robinson. Also like the IFL (real) version of Jonny just not the Sky weird stuttering version!

Yeah but let's face it, that's exactly who he has been targeting since day one, no?

"Sports entertainment"

Yeah, agree about those guys. I rarely watch iFL stuff, I'll have a look at a Nelson clip later.
Loves to have a laugh on IFL, big personality. Seems a great lad but not made for presenting in my opinion.

His American accent is annoying. Is it true Floyd got Big Show to agree to catch weight?

I could take Lethal Bizzel in a straighter. No worries.

Smith is such a creepy bloke, I bet he scares himself when he looks in the mirror.

Boxreccers ,youz are the biggest bunch of whingers on t'internet, :OhYes: thought it was good and they all seemed to know what they were talking about, let's be honest everything they said has been said a million times before even the "experts" are all repeating each other

For some reason I like seeing celebs who know their stuff when talking about boxing, even though boxing match ups when done right is proven to be biggest, being a boxing fan is almost like living in a bubble (unless your in the boxing environment) even your mates who claim to love the sport only know about 3 active boxers

Thank heavens for boxrec :salut:

I know what you mean, I can't see him being the top of many baby sitting lists.

Watched a bit of it in the barbers this afternoon, Paddy Considine at least seemed to know what he was talking about, Will Mellor could name a few fighters, Lethal Bizzle was the absolute typical casual fan from what I saw, named Tyson, Naz and Mayweather. They'd never do shite like this for football, but for some reason it's ok with boxing.

That could be a question on Call My Bluff.

I think it's a pukka sauce dreamed up by Jamie Oliver.

God your a right bunch of miserable ba*ds. There's a show dedicated to the sport you love and all you can do is bloody whinge. If you don't like it, don't watch it and STFU.

I don't detect an ounce of miserableness in this reply :yay:

To be fair, soccer AM is even worse...

Soccer AM used to be a cracking show back in the day, now it's just a chat show with very little football and tired old jokes.

Soccer AM is like Celebrity Juice these days - it is like watching the same show each week, with the same small pool of guests.

David Haye has been on a few times - there was one where he turned up at about 11 o'clock.

He should have been there earlier but he came out with some shite about how he doesn't have an alarm clock as his body knows best - he therefore wakes up whenever he wakes up ! - and he wonders why some people think that he is a nob !

With the budget Sky have you would have thought it would be in their interest to invest in weekly shows like Ringside and Soccer AM.

It wasnt that long ago that I thought Ringside was a decent watch.

Soccer AM has been woeful for years.

Ringside has its ups and downs just like any other show. I thought the week before was very good with hatton, moore and smith.

Meanwhile on allegedly you get (admittedly poorly produced due to budget) the much better Boxing Matters and Bunces Boxing Hour.

There has been some good stuff on ringside in recent years and a lot of crap too.

I loved the pre-fight interview with Mitchell and Murray, very intense but professional.

It's great when they go to gyms for behind the scenes type stuff, I love seeing the day to day training set ups.

A few times they've done hour-long specials with fighters, but it's mostly been guys whose stories have ben told a hundred times (Hopkins, De La Hoya). I love to see them go and do an extended interview with someone like Pernell Whittaker or Bob Foster, or anyone with a story to tell.

This weeks show wasn't really my cup of tea, there's not much Paul Merson is going to tell you about boxing that you don't already know.

Murray-Mitchell is a prime example of why Eddie should be putting on 50/50 fight, they almost always deliver

He can start by matching his roster of lightweights against one another

Biggest problem with Ringside is that Adam Smith comes across as a pussy cat on and off air. Wish the guy would grow a pair of balls, even tiny ones, to respond to his critics. Even Nelson is ok in comparison whereas Smith is a glorified autograph hunter and pathetic a$$ kisser.
