Saunders hasn't done that yet.
Golovkin has fought plenty of the top middleweight in the last few years.
Golovkin is not really a fighter that is avoided.
Really? Saying that $3.2 mil is not enough is not pricing himself out for Saunders? Golovkin would likely have significantly lower purse to let Saunders earn that much.

It's too early to say he has ducked.

If he loses to GGG he loses value, if he rematches Eubank jr now (and wins again) and fights a couple of US middleweights upping his profile in the States his value cannot go down...
I would love to see -
May 5th - Hugo Centeno jr or Omar Chavez
August - Chris Eubank jr 2
Dec - US Fighter (Douglas/Johnson/Wade)
2017 - Canelo or GGG
1st Defense against Omar LFMAO!!! What boxing fan would want to see that s#hit? Only Saunders fan.. he is a World champion FFS he should fight the best why is he fighting if he doesnt believe he is the best.. Fight GGG 2017.. The middleweight champ of the world.
Then they say GGG isnt avoided SMH
A Mexican on Cinco de mayo, Omar was the second choice to Centeno jr.
A huge UK rematch in the summer.
Then an American name at the end of the year.
BJS isn't at maximum exposure, he has no name in the States and if GGG wants to maximise this fight then he needs big name opponents.
Give BJS a year to face the right opponents and then the fight will be even bigger for both GGG and BJS in 2017.
Makes sense for all involved I think...

I agree that this fight needs more time to simmer especially since BJS is asking for such a big salary to make it happen and the fact that you indicated in him not being a known commodity in the USA.
As long as GGG gets to face a better crop than the Willie Monroe's of the division then this should make for a nice match up after about of year of quality bigger named opponents for both fighters.

Canelo should be GGGs main fight for 2016. He's far more seasoned and Canelos name is as big as it is ever going to be.
Danny Jacobs is another opponent for GGG in 2016 and Arif Magomedov in Russia.
BJS vs. GGG in 2017 for me.

If BJS does a rematch with Eubank Jr, then there will likely be no BJS vs GGG. The question is if Jr will be more realistic about his worth than BJS.

Wasn't the "crowd" about 4000 against Lee ?
BJS can easily lose a rematch against Eubank Jr and I doubt that he can make more than $500k against opponents he can safely beat. Losing to Golovkin is way better than losing to Eubank.
Also, taking into account Billy's drawing "power", I am not sure why he wants to fight in England. He gets stopped anyway. Golovkin can easily pack a 20k venue in America, but I am not sure if he can in England.[/quote]
I think Golovkin would easily sell out a 20,000 venue in the UK

bjs barely got past eubank the first time, did nothing against lee other than
that one round, and will lose the eubank rematch and probably a lee rematch,
and lose to jacobs, quillin, lemieux, geale, and probably even solomon.
that belt is a lottery ticket and he's a complete tool who will lose that lottery
ticket for a fraction of what he could milk it for. c'est la vie
i'm thinking rafael got dollars and pounds mixed up and it's 2.2milUSD

billy joe is a good gypsy boy no matter what you offer he will ask for more , he doesn't want this fight yet but he will take a purse of £2,000,000 if that is really up for offer .

Got to spend money to make money I guess. BJS will get his ass kicked by GGG. I would take any ass kicking too for $3.2 mil.

I just wanted to know what he saw in either fighter that makes him say such, no need to be a douche about it, this is a boxing forum where we discuss boxing.

because of everything i said in the post before that.
worst work rate for a titlist in the sport behind ishe smith, who would be competitive
with saunders in both skill and inducing narcolepsy. he isn't a top guy and he is BORING.
his only value is that title. canelo and cotto would also beat him but it would be for
the same money GGG is offering and less deadly so he would denifitely take those
fights. the reason he wants 3x what he can make vs anyone but cotto or canelo is
because knows he won't do any better than any other ggg opponent and his only
value is that title.

Agree overall minus the bolded. No B side opponent has made near 3.2m vs these guys
Lara 1m
Kirkland 1.2m
Sergio Martinez 1.5m (!)
Margarito 2 2.5m
Heck GGG himself hasn't sniffed that

Team Golovkin offered about $3.2m (or 2.2m British pounds) according to Dan Rafael, yet Saunders wants MORE or requests Golovkin to come to england with the same amount of money (Or demand Less at least)
The amount of money is just ABSURD considering BJS has NEVER EVER even made half of that.No middleweight in the past 5 years has been payed that amount except Chavez jr vs Sergio Martinez ($3m)
Im sure when and IF BJS losses he will regret not taking this fight (If he doesnt). Its really so arrogant of hm asking so much money he doesnt really deserve.
I,m sorry to say but this is really a large amount to invest at a wrong place.

Golovkin is just trying to buy a belt. He is overpaying likely taking a big pay cut himself, so it shows how badly he wants all belts.

I have to chime in here and say that, for once, I agree with the lil g knobslobbers.
If Saunders turns down that offer, it's a duck plain and simple.
There are no promotional barriers, no exclusive network contract issues, absolutely
nothing preventing BJ from taking his biggest career payday.
He is not anyone's A side and he needs to take the money and stay in his lane or
beat someone really elite and create his own.
Andy Lee is a good victory, not a great one.

I would sell all my family and sell some organs on the black market to watch GGG in the UK.
If BJS wants more to fight him he can have my child's savings and the lease to my house.

problem is that saunders isn't exactly the second coming and I wouldn't bet my savings on him getting past eubank jr or andy lee in rematches so if I were him I would take the offer while its there and stop being so bloody greedy

Big fights at world level are hard to make.
Golovkin hasn't really been that hard done by in recent years.

It wouldn't be his biggest payday though, he can have the Eubank rematch more or less whenever he wants it for just as much money.
Fight Golovkin, without his trainer and get beat, with few options left afterwards, or fight Eubank again for the same money, if he loses he gets a rematch for another big payday and if he wins he carries on making good money and can then take the Golovkin fight when he's a bigger name and more experienced. Fairly simple decision to me.

Ok, good backing and I guess we're going to have to see what a fight like these types will bring. I'm just hoping to see GGG get one of these top dudes so we can truly assess him and have no more doubts as to whether or not he is capable of everything we believe he is.
