I've read earlier that he's still going to be on the bill in a tick over but that he should be fighting for the European title against Medina in Liverpool sometime in June.
Who is Medina?

Gutted about this but not exactly surprised.

Rigo seems to be trying to flush his career down the drain.
He had the world at his feet after the Donaire win.

He any good? Can't remember him. Picking up the European title would open a few doors for Jazza but is it a fight where he would earn a lot?

I know a few folk who bought tickets specifically to see Rigo, mainly because he is unbelievably talented and was a supreme amateur. If I'd not been working I'd have done likewise.

Whether you like him or hate him he is world class, how many genuinely better boxers have fought in the UK in the last decade?

Doesn't mean it would ever have been a good fight mind

Be interesting to know if Rigo actually applied for a visa or had a second passport allowing him to fly back to the USA, something is not right but as usual the fans lose out and miss out on another fight

I don't know anything about Visas but would he not require the same paperwork to fly from Miami to Russia as flying from Miami/Russia to the UK? Obviously not otherwise we wouldn't be having this discussion but a sensible guy would've sorted out the UK Visa when they were sorting out him flying to Russia? Whoever is at fault for this has made a massive fornicate up that will have an even bigger after effect!

There was a good tv documentary a few years ago about amateur boxers in Liverpool and Dickens was one of the lads (cant think of the name of the programme).

Dickens came across as a good lad and I have rooted for him ever since. He had a tough upbringing - the interview with his dad where he was on about watching his young son fighting in the street was very difficult, I still don't know if he was right or wrong given the environment in which they lived.
Wasnt it "Fighting Scousers" or something? Im sure Bellew,Natasha Jonas and Stalker were on it too

A little known fact about the residents of Liverpool is that their rather affectionate towards Grandmothers

Bit of a joke that he needs a visa in the first place, plenty of people waltz in and out of the country everyday.
