Who exactly is there to test Golovkin at 160? Saunders, Eubank, Jacobs, Lee, Quillin, Cotto?
Debatable that any of those pose more of a test than Lemieux.
Clearly Golovkin is waiting for the bumper payday that Alvarez will bring. There are no big money fights at 168. And what kind of idiot would jump up 8lbs only to have to drop back to 160 to get the big money? Did you not even read the link I set you? His team are doing exactly that! Said they will fight Zurdo then go back down
Degale is A man at 168, but what do you imagine he's done to be THE man? Lose to Groves? Look infinitely less impressive than Froch in beating an older version of Bute? Squeak by Dirrell?
And none of these fighters did he 'school'.
Blowing smoke up Degale's chocolate starfish doesn't change the facts.
Bute is a different kettle of fish fighting at home, also do you think Ali Oubaali is better then Danny Garcia just because he beat Theophane better then Garcia did?
'His team are doing exactly that', says a bulletproof article on boxing scene. Why don't we see what actually happens, eh? What are you smoking? His bloody promoter said it! "He would go up to fight Zurdo at 168 and then come down to continue to fight at 160- pounds." loeffler said.... Don't be lazy and READ the article next time.

Bute's chin improves the further west he fights?
I expect Chunky would've knocked him cold had they fought in the UK.

Still not seeing an answer to the question; what has Degale done to become THE man at 168? Maybe my examples confused you as I was being sarcastic, so why not have another try at answering?
Honestly I don't know why you are talking about Bute's chin for? How many times did Froch drop him? You do know he was stopped on his feet right? Maybe you don't watch fights as you don't read articles too. Why didn't Froch drop Dirrell? You are suggesting DeGale is feather fisted with the Bute comparison so why couldn't Froch drop him like DeGale did?

Sorry I forget that the words of boxing promoters are set in stone.
Like I said we'll see what happens.
Still avoiding the question I see. Answer or concede. Your choice.

To be fare, Froch was fighting undefeated young lions, while by the time DeGale fought them, they became half-broken.

Following your logic, one should ask "why did DeGale lose to Groves who was stopped twice by Froch".

Still waiting to hear how many times Froch dropped Bute? You know because of your comment about his chin..

Do you want a written contract from GGG to say he would move up? You would still not believe it ffs. You are ridiculous first you say its only the site reporting without actually reading the article and now I had to explain to you it was his promoters own words that's not enough. You are like a kid who cant admit you are wrong.

I'll tell you why DeGale is No.1 at SMW as its simple... He has the best resume.

Luis Ortiz and it will only get worse. The best of the rest will not utter his name and even if questioned about him will deflect and brush it under the carpet. The ALL have a very good idea what would happen if they fought him.

Rigo is a bigger knob than Floyd? Doubtful. If Rigo could bring the bucks no one would give a toss whether he was a prat or not.
Both qualify as high risk, low reward... Avoided.
Rigo is managed by a bunch of cowboys.

He is not avoided. He is a massive tosspot, who is destroying his own career.

Neither is avoided. Rigo is a moron and Ortiz has simply not been avoided yet.
Rigo is avoided like the plague.

This is not my logic!! I was trying to teach Taki that it doesn't matter how different boxers win fights. He started the stupid comparison and talked about Bute's chin even though Froch didn't put him on the floor so I don't know what the fcuk he's talking about Bute's chin for...

I made the point about Garcia struggling against Theophane when Oubaali beat him better, does that make him better then Garcia?

What has being dropped got to do with a fighters whiskers? Bruno was stopped on his feet multiple times.
Promoters spout all kinds of nonsense to muddy the waters, always have, always will.

Oh, so Degale is no.1 rather than THE man now? As for his resume... Dirrell, old Bute and losing to Groves. Frightening stuff.
Doesn't wash, soft lad.

You really are living in a wonderland aren't you... What is the difference between being the man of the division and no.1 of the division? Name me a SMW with a better resume. The loss to Groves was 5 years ago and very debatable, that has barely any relevance to todays ranking...

Ok so every promoter lies to everyone about everything, have you got enough tinfoil in your bedroom?

I still don't know why you brought up Bute's chin.

You are a dire dire poster and not worth replying to, especially as its been proven you don't read much.

Rigondeaux is highly avoided

So is Walters are highly avoided, go see what they were offered for a fight with Loma and tell me that the measly amounts aren't enough to indicate someone is intending to avoid them.

Who avoided Beterbiev? He turned down the Kovalev fight and pulled out of an eliminator with an injury.

Walters was offered a career high purse and Loma offered him an extra 300k if he won.

That isn't anything that wasn't discussed there but he was only offered 500K, fighters on PBC are being paid 1mil to 1.2 mil per fight, Walters is a big name in the sport/an attraction, the point is that he isn't being paid accordingly.

For any fighter to have to come out of his own purse to make an offer for a fight means that the fighter had to be paid at a much higher amount than the other in order to do just that.

I'll make it simple for you: Walters was offered 500K, plus 300K from Loma, then Loma's purse had to be over 1mil plus or do you think he was only offered 500k?

It's clear to see that Loma's purse was significantly higher than Walter's purse.

HBO offered 1 million for the fight. Arum went into pocket to give Lomachenko 850 and Walters 500. Extremely fair offer.

HBO isn't shelling out millions hand over fist for Boxing anymore. Loma/Walters is a nice fight, but it's probably 4,000 to 5,000 sold tickets and average ratings.
