Sturm never made the claim that he'd tested negative only 6 days prior to the fight. The only responses of his I could find were:
"At first I was shocked," Sturm told the German news agency SID. "This is all very strange. I was tested hundreds of times tested in my career, with both blood and urine samples. There has never been anything and I have an absolutely clear conscience. I did not work 26 years for this. I always like to fight in the ring like a lion."
“I have been tested hundreds of times in my career and the results were negative,” Sturm told the newspaper after learning of the positive “A” sample by the WBA on Friday night. “The fact that after two months such (news was reported) and the (German boxing commission) was not informed — how can that be? I will (hire) lawyers and open the ‘B’ sample.”
Sturm insisted he doesn’t need steroids to build strength. “I have had muscles since I was 14,” he told SID. “What good would it do me? I have a body which is already well trained. There have been many cases where the ‘B’ sample has refuted the first test. So I am not worried. I didn’t do it, 1000 percent.”

All for nothing then for Lucas.
They see him as a cheat. While they might not say it, theyre definitely punishing him accordingly.
The empathy they shown in their comments regarding Lucases claims of being framed is just a front.

Not yet. Ali was a four-time champ according to the WBA.

..I've been always wondering what sounds/is better: to be a 1-time champ for 5 years or 3-time champ within same period of time

...regarding these guys above who got caught cheating...I never believed their excuses, conspiracy theories, etc...

Chagaev is three times the fighter Joe Louis was, since Louis was only a one time champ.
Active guys like Fury, AJ, and Wilder don't have any claim to being on Chagaev's level when they've only held titles once, although they can still claim that they're at least as good as Louis. Sugar Nico Valuev is also twice the fighter Louis was, since he had two reigns as world champ and can therefore be referred to as a 'two time world champion' rather than some mediocre boxer who could only manage one reign.

I do feel for Browne, I think he was railroaded.
Quite possibly the case. But we'll never know.

I don't think there's still a credible debate about whether the WBA ordinary heavyweight trinket carries any value.

Team Browne claimed they'd been deliberately spiked, have since changed focus to a dodgy Clenbuterol fed Beef portion at his pre fight dinner, Team Browne have accused everyone but themselves for their complacency, Browne needs to move on but I can see big interests from investors because Browne is all Oz has on the World scene at present

It is headed to court next month. I'll leave it for them to sort out.

Considering the mass cheating going on in Russia and its slave states I totally believe Browne was doped, either by the opponents or by someone bribed in his own team.
Either way the Alphabet Soup belt is a worthless piece of trash.

Either way Browne consumed Clen, it's the athletes responsibility for his food source, more care should have been taken whether he has been doped, eaten contaminated beef, his supplements are tainted, or some other possibility, The test result was very low level which would rule out a deliberate spike & why the Team had changed to the contaminated meat possibility
