I've now seen talk of Hughie, Parker, Price, Pulev, Miller, Stiverne, Ugonoh, and Wlad.
Meant to be announced Monday. At least that's what Hearn is believed to have told Parker's camp.

Eddie Hearn update :

"My gut feeling is Joshua v Klitschko will happen in spring/summer of next year and we'll fight Joseph Parker on November 26, get the mandatory out the way."

It looks like the waiting game will continue for Joseph Parker with Eddie Hearn now saying fight details will be announced "this week."

With Hearn looking to make Joshua vs Klitschko, Parker might yet find himself on the undercard fighting David Price.

It all seems to hinge on whether Tyson Fury is stripped of his titles, and if he is, if it happens in time to get Joshua vs Klitschko made.

Meanwhile Price is also listed on the October 1st Cleverly vs Braehmer undercard.

Joseph may pursue another route and fight Mexican American Andy Ruiz for the WBO belt with Klitchko-Joshua maybe fighting for the IBF/WBA belts
according to Eddie Hearn.

Duco are keeping Parker's options open. Same as Hearn is keeping Joshua's options open.

It is all a waiting and posturing game until Hearn announces who Joshua is fighting on November 26th.

And yet more posturing :

Wladimir Klitschko in mix for Joseph Parker

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/ar ... d=11719280

Wladimir Klitschko has been contacted by Joseph Parker's promoters as they continue to scout for opponents in the wake of the Tyson Fury fall-out.

Duco are in negotiations with Anthony Joshua's camp about fighting in Manchester on November 26, but have widened the net to include a possible world title fight against Andy Ruiz Junior in Auckland this summer, and promoter Dean Lonergan said today that an encouraging contact had been made with Klitschko too.

"It's our job to make sure we have options in front of us," Lonergan said on the day the news of a possible fight with Ruiz for the WBO title broke. "If we're going down one path, we might get into into a position we don't necessarily like for whatever reason.

"Now we have two paths, and maybe even three because I've also put an email into Wladimir Klitschko to see if he's interested in fighting us. Let's just wait and see. A fight like that would be held in Germany. Bernd Boente his manager came back and said 'yes, we're interested, what sort of deal structure would you look at?'.

"The only person with any pressure on him is Eddie Hearn because he's got the date set down for November 26, it's hard to get venues and the clock is ticking."

Good luck to Parker what ever road he goes down. If Parker was to win the WBO and Browne wins his version of the WBA maybe there can be a super fight between the two.

That would be the way to go for JP in my opinion. Ruiz is very beatable, and Parker having a title should significantly boost his earning power for other fights. He's also still pretty inexperienced (which I think showed against Takam, although credit to him for coming through in a huge step up), and some title defenses could help him grow as a fighter and better prepare him for monsters like AJ.

The WBA have joined the WBO in giving Tyson Fury 10 days to show why he shouldn't be stripped. So some real opportunities may open up in a very short period of time.

Meanwhile, World Boxing News claim they have 'been reliably informed' that a fight between Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko is likely to take place on December 10, in London.

This would obviously free up Parker to meet someone else. Ruiz?

According to Dan Raphael:

"I'm told by a good source there are issues closing Joshua vs. Klitschko so Klitschko is now also looking at another possible December fight".

Will Hearn now opt for the mandatory for Joshua next? = Joseph Parker.

It would leave Klitschko without a dance partner too.

It is the WBA title being available, or otherwise, that is the glitch in negotiations between Joshua and Wlad.

If the WBA title isn't part of the package, and Wlad walks away, step up Joseph Parker.

Parker is after all Joshua's mandatory and Joshua is meant to fight Parker by January 9th.

So if it isn't to be Klitschko, surely it has to be Parker.
