Does Joshua beat Fury right now?

I honestly can't tell yet how good Fury really is, prior to Wlad, I thought he looked pretty ordinary, but fought a very clever gameplan against Wlad, and got the win. A rematch should hopefully tell us a lot more, and should Fury prevail, we will see how he looks defending the belt.

On paper Wlad should win, he's got the far better resume, but of course fights aren't won or lost on paper.

As limited as Joshua may appear (I don't actually think he's that limited, certainly not in his offensive output), he has that great leverller, punch power, I'm pretty sure he hits hard enough to get Fury in trouble, and he has the height and reach to make it difficult for Fury to keep the fight on the outside with ease, Joshua isn't a counterpuncher, he's aggressive, and would be no way as cautious as Wlad.

I'd have to favour Fury at this stage, but I think it would be competitive even now.

Haven't been on here in a long time so sorry if this has been discussed many times before. I just want to know if people think AJ would take Fury at this moment in his career. A friend of mine has been saying AJ beats him since his 6th fight. To me that's insane. I just think until we see him in with a legit top 10 guy and maybe a hard 12 round fight then we don't know just how good he really is. To me Whyte is the best he's fought and although he went to war a bit more he seemed like he was blowing out his arse. Martin and breazeale were useless. Breazeale showed durability but that's it. No boxing ability whatsoever and fought at AJ's pace. Fury has proven he can go for 12 rounds and moves well for his size. I'm sure he would use the same tactics as he did with Klitschko making is hard for AJ to land his bombs. Of course AJ could knock him out, it is possible but what if he don't? right now I feel Fury outpoints him. Thoughts??

I think it would be pretty easy, although out of order. He doesn't need verbal skills at all, just a well rehearsed, gypsy/traveller bashing, routine. That would have them all wound up ( bar Peter of course )

its hard to believe theres only 14 months separating these two. joshua just seems like bruno to me, a great specimen but not an evolving,thinking fighter. if fury can maintain some kind of focus in his career, i just dont see how joshua will ever catch up. as fury matures i think the gap gets wider.

His impressive physique is his weapon in the first half, but feel it's possibly his Achilles heel the longer it goes on. I bet that's the focus of his training nowadays, improving that side of things as sooner or later he's going to need it when the big punches fail to wrap a fight up.

Yes, it's just not possible to be that muscular AND have great endurance. Joshua's shown good stamina so far, but it's easy to do so when your not in a dogfight.
