Does Joshua beat Fury right now?

Haven't been on here in a long time so sorry if this has been discussed many times before. I just want to know if people think AJ would take Fury at this moment in his career. A friend of mine has been saying AJ beats him since his 6th fight. To me that's insane. I just think until we see him in with a legit top 10 guy and maybe a hard 12 round fight then we don't know just how good he really is. To me Whyte is the best he's fought and although he went to war a bit more he seemed like he was blowing out his arse. Martin and breazeale were useless. Breazeale showed durability but that's it. No boxing ability whatsoever and fought at AJ's pace. Fury has proven he can go for 12 rounds and moves well for his size. I'm sure he would use the same tactics as he did with Klitschko making is hard for AJ to land his bombs. Of course AJ could knock him out, it is possible but what if he don't? right now I feel Fury outpoints him. Thoughts??

I don't think so. Any fighter can get chinned but if you put a gun to my head and said pick one I'd select Tyson without skipping a beat.

Joshua is very robotic but effective at the level he fights at. Fury has more skill at this point in time could be different in a few years

Right now I'd pick Fury with confidence. AJ is powerful but the way he loaded up and quite often fell short with the right hand against what was pretty much a stationary target in Dominic Brezeale was a bit worrying. Once Brezeale got out of the first couple of rounds without going down there didn't seem to be much of a plan B from Joshua either, just 1-2 after 1-2 with the odd left hook until he eventually got the stoppage. Not sure that would be enough against the defensive skills of Fury. Picked Fury on points but a late stoppage wouldn't surprise me as AJ still hasn't gone past 7.

Easy Fury victory on points, showing Joshua skills he won't be able to cope with. Joshua looks awesome when blowing lower level boxers out but Fury has proven himself against the best! Joshua could of course KO Fury inside 2 rounds but this won't happen Fury can adapt to any situation he is put in. If Fury could be dropped in the middle of the jungle and come out wearing a Chinchilla on his head like he says then that is a hard man to beat!

Even on Joshua's last performance ? Joshua looked very average against a very easy to hit mediocre opponent. Fury would have a field day with Joshua going off that last outing.

If Tyson trains properly, he is too clever and too good a boxer for Joshua at this point. But you just never know what is going on in Tysons brain.

Yes. Joshua could catch him, but at this time I believe Tyson will get in his head, get on his toes, land long shots and outbox AJ.

And I also believe that Fury, with his non conventional style and down to earth personality may even have better support.

I'd pick Joshua to stop Fury. The reason being that he wouldnt be tentative like Wlad was and is willing to eat the odd punch here and there to land hid own. I could see AJ finding it awkward for 4/5 rounds and then stopping Fury between 8 and 12.

Yep even after Joshua's last performance. I've never really been sold on Fury and I believe his win over Klitschko said much more about Wlad's limitations than about Fury's skills.

Fury has won at a vastly higher level, has much more experience, fighting different styles and different ways. Plus I think Fury has a nightmare style for Joshua.

If a guy worse than a very ill version of Fury's cousin/sparring partner can make him miss, he's going to have real issues landing on Fury.

That is quite a comical statement considering how long and how many successful defences Wlad had as a champion? I think you may be using your emotion rather than the brain regarding Fury.

I just meant Wlad's limitations in terms of not being able to adapt his style or actually try to get involved in an exchange. He could and should have beaten Fury if he'd been able to shake off his safety first approach.

And I don't have any strong emotion about Fury one way or the other, you make me sound like a hysterical woman

I'd fancy Joshua to beat Fury right now and any other HW on the planet for that matter but no doubt that Fury is the No1 in standings though,AJ needs the big win that Tyson has

Like him or loathe him Fury was right when he said "i dont understand how casual boxing fans rate Joshua as the number one for beating two average Americans, yet say im a bum even though I beat Wladamir"

I read a lot of comments saying Wlad lost the fight because he was over the hill etc... Yet barely nobody was saying "Fury wins this wlads shot" before the fight. Hed beat Povetkin, Lepai, Pulev, Jennings in the four fights before Fury.

Joshua isnt the finished article by a long shot. He only stepped into a boxing gym for first time 8 years ago,hes now world champ after just 16 fights. the usual blueprint is to amass a record of around 25-30 wins before a world title shot.

Right now, have to fancy Fury, although if Joshua connected Fury would taste canvas.

Wladimir didn't even fight. Fury's win wasn't impressive because he couldn't knock out a guy who was handed his title to him without a fight. Joshua has looked like a more fluid and skilled fighter than Fury to me even though he's fought lesser competition.

It's hard to say but the logical choice would be Fury. You can't completely write AJ off because of his obvious power but there's no way he's good enough to beat Fury over the distance whereas Fury could outbox him and could also KO him.

Fury points but stranger things have happened.

I enjoy watching Joshua but he's nowhere near ready for Fury. I actually think Fury stops him. Tyson hasn't looked vulnerable since offering his chin on a plate to Steve Cunningham. That was Fury at his most reckless, just a wild brawl. Fury is the worst possible opponent for Femi at this stage.

No, Fury cruises to a wide points win. In fact he'll probably KO him. It will be a complete borefest of a fight with Fury on the defensive and picking Joshua off just enough to win the rounds whilst Joshua looks more and more confused with every round that he hasn't KO'd Fury yet and just keeps walking onto Fury's punches. The Sky commentary team will keep sucking Joshua off though even as Tyson wins every round, to such a degree that Jim Watt needs to take a 5 minute break to wipe AJ's money shot off his face.

Fury would make Joshua look bad. Too skillful. Of course one punch can always change everything in heavyweight boxing but nine times out of ten Fury beats Joshua. Joshua will always look spectacular knocking over average to poor fighters but when he fights the best he's going to find it a different ball game.

It shows how bad the heavyweight division is if two guys as bad as Fury & Joshua hold world title belts!

Hopefully there will be a young heavyweight soon who can clear this rubbish away, and restore some credence in the division.
