Is it still the case that Virgin doesn't offer PPVs in HD? Or has that changed now? Am switching over from Sky next week, super gutted that Box-nation doesn't have an HD option with Virgin.

I Did that But regretted it.

Sky were taking the piss with their prices, Virgin offered me a great deal which will save me loads, plus I get a free tablet. I don't watch much TV anyway these days, so it was a no-brainer for me.

Had planned to watch it in the casino but the old firm are playing at lunch time which means every Neanderthal in Scotland will be out drinking from early in the morning and the town will be verging on a war zone at night filled with drunken pollutions so will just buy the PPV to save me from having the interact with them.

Mate, sorry to go off topic, but how does those boxes actually work? don`t you need a uk ip address on your tv to watch uk content?

I bought an amazon firestick, but when I plug it in, it does`t let me watch uk content as the wifi to my tv is obviously Norwegian (I live in Norway)

Some one said i need to change the ip on my router, which is far beyond my capabilities.

How will you get that to work in Cyprus?

Can you really just plug the fella in, then start watching whatever you want, regardless of where you are based in the world? Is the speed fast or does it keep buffering all the time?

These days I mainly just download box sets of TV for free anyway, and watch them from my hard drive on my TV, I have never missed getting rid of sky, I have a virgin TV package, but I don't actually watch mutch of it, but watch allegedly and BT sport to get my fix of boxing and MMA. I'm considering downgrading my TV package so long as it means I keep BT sport.

Virgin broadband is the fastest avsailabloe, so I'm obviously happy with that.

Yeah the broadband is top quality. I agree regarding Sky's prices though- they're ridiculously expensive. Like you I rarely watch TV these days bar watching boxing or mma. I'm far more reliant on having an Internet connection than a sky/cable television subscription.

yes its good mate. buffering occasionally but certainly not often. its not just good for sport, every channel in the world you could think of from bein sports to the cooking channel. plus more films than netflix ever dreamed of...plus boxsets............all the comedies from all the years.....rising damp, fawlty towers...plus numerous stand up shows...tv box sets..idiot abroad, the sweeney......everything.

Your Fire Stick's one with the standard channels, whereas many have a program called Kodi added to their Sticks through a process known as sideloading (I just run Kodi on my laptop).

Not on your router - via a proxy online. VPNs and Smart DNS are the two to look up.

With Kodi you can. Buffering depends on your broadband speed and the source of your feed (how good its upload is, and how many viewers it has). My dad runs Kodi well enough on a tablet with a connection in the 18 Mb range. I should imagine anything over 10's enough. A lot of Kodi's free streams buffer a lot at busy times, but you can pay for high-quality streams.

I can't give details or links here because the channels we're alluding to aren't free ones, but Kodi's not too hard to get into once you've learnt your way around it. Kodi's perfectly legal, by the way, it's just what you choose to view with it that might not be. You can still get dodgy Sky boxes, but again, I can't say where. I can mention a site called Reddit.

im not going to buy it, it's a mismatch and brook will be done over quickly.

but i love watching golovkin and was excited to try and get a ticket for this fight just to say that i had seen him fight live. but when they were all gone in a few minutes then on resale sites soon after it all felt like a huge con job.

this is no better a fight for golovkin than the last few that have been on bocksnation or even the fight against murray on channel 5. if it was against canelo i would pay...as it is its going to be like esham pickering against mauricio martinez or paul lloyd against barrera.

why pay more for a terrible fight on tv? and the undercard is garbage too.
