I dunno mate. One space has opened up and there is one guy who is a country mile better than the other candidates for that space.

I mean I might have Duhapas and Hammer in my own top 15 (haven't done one in a while) but it isn't as if they have especially good resumes themselves - one (maybe two) semi-significant wins versus recent one-sided TKO losses for both. Their slightly better recent resumes don't outweigh their visibly inferior fighting qualities to me - if they do for other people that's fine, I just don't agree. Another good win or two for JD or CH and I'd change my mind probably.

Haye has more right being there than Duhaupas, Hammer and Ruiz.

For starters, I reckon most of us would back him to beat all three if they were fighting tonight.

Fair enough, his opponents have not been spectacular but are they really any worse than those above have fought? Every one of them has lost when they've stepped up, but the difference is Haye lost to Klitschko - Duhaupas lost to Teper and Pianeta, Hammer to Wach and Ruiz hasn't fought anyone much better than De Mori and Gjerjejejaiagj.

I can help but look at these lists and think, haye smashes most of the names outside the top 5 and has a decent chance against some of the names inside it

I think Teper and Helenius (the most recent wins for Hammer and Duhaupas respectively) are significantly better than anyone Haye has beaten over nearly the last 5 years. I still believe that he's a better fighter than all those names, and if we're to rank by ability he should be a clear #1, but judging by recent resumes I think people like Hammer and Duhaupas have good arguments for being ranked above him.
