Nobody is expecting Kovalev to somehow get 0 on paper again, but overwhelming majority of hardcore fans will have it in their minds.

And yet, even in their minds they would still be wrong. Clear cut case of denial, not sure what it's called if you can't even be honest in a fantasy but it sounds serious.boxing_rocks wrote:Nobody is expecting Kovalev to somehow get 0 on paper again, but overwhelming majority of hardcore fans will have it in their minds.
This wasn't even the most controversial scoring ON THE NIGHT! Much less lolololol "a robbery". But the way it played out is certainly funny.

It's funny how Andre Ward's name has been omitted from this poll.
Whilst I understand and appreciate the inevitable sense of disappointment that some fight fans may feel about the outcome of the Kovalev-Ward bout, I'm sincerely shocked about the amount of outrage, hatred and general over-the-top reaction.
I feel that people should consider accepting the loss, because it can't be changed, and then move on with their lives.
In my mind, Kovalev and Ward are both great fighters... and it's been a long time since a fight has been as intriguing and captivating as the one I witnessed on Saturday night... and I reckon both men deserve to receive a lot of praise and recognition for their efforts, regardless as to whether or not you agree with the outcome.

Ward is not a great fighter anymore unless surviving 12 rounds and winning a few of them against Kovalev (who has his own drawbacks) makes him great.
He didn't look great at all.

Re: Who`'s LH's true #1
Many said Kovalev KO but obviously not good enough to do it.
Not to work out how they planned.

..you are right...however, it's not about who said what prior to the fight, it's about the quality of officiating in high profile cases...Keko wrote:Many said Kovalev KO but obviously not good enough to do it.

Kovalev is great fighter for me but obviously can not be both KO finish Ward and actually the second part of the fight was worse. The first part was excellent.
Kovalev was a lot physically stronger and therefore I say and Ward should be applauded. A lot of them avoid such a fight and he took it and honestly did.
