Guys like Haye and Parker are very arguable though IMO.
Haye isn't even top 20.

On talent I think he is, but he's definitely lacking the recent results

Yeah until he beats someone with a pulse for the first time in four and a half years there's no way he's top 20. Bellew doesn't count either.

got my first few "live" glimpses of mr Ortiz here in the UK.

He has looked like a tall piece of chocolate shitt dipped in concrete. Fighting like a statue, it was embarrassing the allen fight. He hardly looks the terrifying world beater so far. But I know of Jennings who he destroyed and Thompson who are very good fighter imo and seeing what Ortiz did to them is intriguing.

I suspect Ortiz is adjusting to the awful food and climate.

Ye...that must be food-)))

But I presume another astonishing performance like previous 3 (thompson fight was also lame) and Ortiz will be back in sunny Florida eating in cuban diner while driving a taxi....

Golden Boy knew a thing or two when they released him from contract that fast...now Matchroom also know it...

give him 4 month of proper training, give him a big money fight against a big name and we'll see the ortiz version destroyed jennings, thompson. this version parker, josh and wilder would have a problem against. cause wilder is behind training, parker totaly failed to impress and josh never faced somebody on the level of ortiz.
Why would anyone grant Ortiz an opportunity to engage in a big money fight against a big name on the back of his disappointing performances against Scott and Allen?

Ortiz has to realise that he has to look impressive against the "little" names in order to generate enough economic demand to see him share the ring against the "big" names.
Yeah right!!! ... All these Heavyweights are going to be crying to face him if he puts somebody in the deep freeze -- or does another Bryant Jennings.

Food ? The UK has the most diverse food products in the world?

Ortiz was exposed by Malik Scott. This is what happens when cherry picking by people like Eddie Hearn goes wrong. Ortiz is still a force, maybe a top 10 but he is limited. He's a good counter puncher but if your're on your feet he has difficulty. The bigger names will exploit that. The hype is dead. Plus he's possible in his mid 40's.

Has there ever been a fighter that looks boring inside and outside the ring capable of regularly engaging in big fights against the biggest names, whilst earning big paydays?

Ortiz isn't boring at all.

From a casual British fight fan perspective he is, because he was unimpressive in his last two bouts were. I know he's capable of more, but the perception of UK fight fans is what's important as they're funding his paydays.

Jameel McCline did it, but his situation was a little different as the Heavyweight division was a little more wild back then.

You basically hit the nail on the head though: Ortiz stumbling through fights like this isn't winning him any fans and is effectively disqualifying him from future use. He was never close to top 3 in my eyes anyway, but I'm glad others are finally seeing he was very overhyped.
