I live in Texas. I don't have an antenna on my TV, haven't for decades. If I unhook my cable I can't watch any channels. Id have to go by some equipment. 10-15 years ago you could still get those channels free. Not anymore.

Antennas are dirt cheap and are a once in a lifetime purchase.

No monthly bill = free to air period.
I haven't known a single person without cable in decades.

If you have the antenna and got the $40 box from radio shack to get a few boxing fights for 'free'. More power to you. For the vast majority of consumers in our country CBS costs the same as ESPN.
