Theres been a u turn. Sky have decided to carry on with Eurosport and discovery channels. Been confirmed today.

It was the sensible decision from Sky.

A lot of tennis and snooker fans were threatening to leave if Sky dropped Eurosport.

I rang Sky after work yesterday afternoon and complained that I was still paying the same monthly cost but my favourate channels had gone, why wasnt I getting a discount now. Sky told me that Discovery wanted £1b from Sky so they could keep the channels. As of 4pm yesterday it was still going a head. I never got a discount cause I gave up on the Asian call centre customer service employee after 45 minutes because she could not find answers to my questions in her carefully written script.

I heard the £1bn figure get bandied around as well.

Not sure if that's true, but it does seem like a lot of money. If true, you can see why Sky would be reluctant.

Still, sorted out now.
