Can't say I am looking forward to this as stylewise it could be diabolical. If I am in Saturday I will watch the first couple of rounds and if that's crap I'll turn it off.

Burnett sent me to sleep on the Framptonv Quigg undercard last year when he should have been matched with an aggressive fighter to look good and build a fanbase. I'm very interested to see the turn out for this as Burnett has not fought over there for years.

Haskins was unbearable against Stuart Hall and Ivan Morales.

Thing is I love Belfast and if Burnett was fighting Zhakiyanov (which I think Hearn could have made) I would 100% have gone as ZZ is a very aggressive fan friendly fighter.

If this fight is as crap as I think it might be then no one in Belfast will want to see Burnett again. It's a big gamble by Hearn.

Interesting match up this one, it all seems geared towards being Burnett's entry into the big time and Matchroom must be confident that its not too early for him but if theres one opponent who you don't want to be facing when your still green its Lee Haskins, the guys and absolute nightmare to fight, awkward, unorthodox and still a bit speedy even in his mid 30's, he has the experience as well, suffered a few stoppage losses but has went on to become world champ and is in the form of his life i'd say, I thought he drew his rematch with Hall last time out but it was close and it wasn't a gift IMO, just a fight of 2 halves with Haskins fading in the 2nd half, Burnett is a pressure fighter of sorts but I doubt he'll be as relentless as Hall was, Ryan's a lot more calculated

Burnett has evolved into a mature boxer/puncher under Adam Booth, isn't as aggressive or exciting as he was when he 1st turned over but he's developed into a very tidy boxer and doesn't seem fussed about being dubbed boring and he can follow a gameplan to the T, he really gave Farrag a lesson recently which was a good win, he's a terrific body puncher and I still think he'll stop guys despite not having a KO win in the last 5 or so fights since he stepped up to title level

I'm struggling to pick a winner here and I edge towards Burnett's front foot boxing nicking a lot of rounds whilst Haskins spends more time trying to be elusive, wouldn't be at all shocked though if Haskins takes him to school though

I can't remember the last time I was this uninterested about a title fight.

McCarthys manager pulled him out - said Perez didn't have licence/visa/weight issues and didn't want his fighter getting ready for other guy to pull out.

Perez then produced licence/visa and was 204 lbs. He looks in good shape in picture on twitter - so they offered McCarthy the fight again several times but the manager said he'd only fight someone else.

Sounds like they didn't fancy Perez. He's still on the card.

Probably a good move. See what Perez looks like at 200 pounds first and then fight him if he doesn't look great. McCarthy was shown up badly against Askin, very hurt at times and that was British level.

It certainly looks like that - sounds like they took fight then maybe seen how hard Perez was training etc and thought wasn't worth a gamble.

McCarthy was on twitter wishing he could get a break - but from all details he's been withdrawn by his management so that's why he's not fighting.

Thought Tennyson was getting outboxed last time out by Gerathy but the lad Gerathy was very very amateurish in how he got caught. First by a basic 1-2 and then got caught backing up with his hands down. You don't even see that at amateur level. Disappointing since he looked to be the better boxer and is kind of an awkward southpaw. Tennyson looks like he can hit and puts pressure on but he's been stopped twice himself so he looks vulnerable. Saying that, I enjoy watching that type of fighter because you just don't know whats going to happen but you're pretty sure someone is going to hit the canvas.

And McCarthy is a big disappointment . Perez would avoid fuked him and he's in great nick for first time in years. Pity how career turned out. I remember watching him spar when first arrived in Ireland and I was blown away

Doyle vs Tennyson is a great match. I just hope Doyle is fit and does himself justice with the late call up.

Doyle vs Tennyson is a great match. I just hope Doyle is fit and does himself justice with the late call up.

lokking forward to the card, hoping Burnett can do it , really impressed with him skill wise ,but Haskins is a tough lad, if burnett can use his boxing not get drawn in to a war think he wins, also good to see the cork rebel back ,gutter thought he was fighting Tommy McCarthy which i was looking forward to, and paul hyland jr 15.0,also
